This gang started as refugees from a camp originally started as a hippie commune. In the events leading up to the solar disaster, it became a weird mix of hippies and doomsday preppers. Possibly aided by the visions provided from the mushroom crops mixed with some eastern philosophy, this group developed the belief that we all live in a collective dream where we learn the lessons needed for our real lives upon death here and awakening there. The being providing the structure for the dream was named the Myconid. Youngsters, asking who or what the Myconid is, could never get a satisfactory answer, never understanding how a powerful being was connected with a Rocket Propelled Grenade.
The leader of Myconid Dream always believed they were tricked into leaving due to population constraints, but never shared this with his gang mates. Belief in the dream varies within the group, but they all hold to the principal that the group is their family in this nightmare of a reality.
