making vehicle controls work as intended, since we cant have over 16 squads

since we're limited to 16 squads, sometimes a player has to run multiple vehicles per squad. This is where the game does the opposite of shine and becomes downright frustrating to even use at all. Running 2 or more cars per squad, running both in opposite directions renders , and . completely unable to switch to the next car. after they reach a certain distance, hitting next vehicle doesn't go to the next vehicle at all, it falls short meanign ecvery turn you have to search for your cars and reset all camera settings.

I don't ever have this problem despite running multiple cars away in different directions to 500m.  Maybe it has to do with your camera settings/preferences.  Mind sharing them with us?

Working together we may be able to find a work around for you.

I should make some apologies I was drunk when I wrote that and frustrated over the occurrences I've suffered for the last couple of nights. Two nights ago, I had 5 BPUS traveling from Badlands to Brickyard. All five of them escaped. When they arrived at the brickyard only four had drivers in them. V driver was somehow left walking for 36 hours 1A Trail only 47 miles long which makes no sense. Let me sober up and wake up and I will write my preferences

What distance does the problem happen at?
It can't be anything to do with your hardware or game settings, must be something in the code that moves the camera

seems to happen once vehicles get about 500 meters apart, when the camera goes to the next car it actually overshoots past the ghost. I have also seen this happen with vehicles just 200 meters apart ( i think this happens when the npc are at distance), and I have seen NPC 560 meters away from me, and not auto escape, then come back nd attack me. If you need more details, i can watch more closely and try to provide some event numbers.

this event is specifically the one where i had both camera problems, and left a character walking when she clearly escaped in a vehicle

this one was even stranger, turn 116 and on, Buzz Saw driven by Luke hedgepath was at 516 meters and continued to get further away with a CR of 0 but still driving. then he came back at me after he was over 550 meters away. Then my own car vanished with confident friendlies and enemies both within 100 meters, Polestar, turn 172 with confident enemy at 108 meters away and confident friendlies 140 meters away.

I have noticed this occurs fairly reliably when switching between cars during the actual movement execution phase

even if heading in same direction - where cars are moving at different speeds, the camera seems to move based on the car in focus at start of the phase, rather than the one in focus when the camera move begins

STILL A DAMN ISSUE

had to surrender my vehicles cause it was too difficult to find each of them every turn.

guess no one really cares anymore what does and doesn't work right, steam reviews say it pretty well. I won't be subscribing again. Just doesn't feel right supporting a game that the developer won't!

You do know that you can click the drop box menu by the event timer and it gives you the option to find vehicles? Once you click on the vehicle name, it takes you instantly to that vehicle's location on the map. Difficult no, a little time consuming, perhaps.

I also guess suggesting a change in your tactics is not an option either? These are ways to help you because I don't know what causes your issue.

tracking to the next vehicle is offset after a certain distance is reached.

and yes it is difficult with a trackball, to access the menus' small button. besides, doing this with 3 or more cars takes longer then the turn timer.m It's annoying to click next or previous car, then have to pan out and search for where your car is cause it's not on the screen.

If I have 4 vehicles intercepted by 12, the only sane/logical tactic is to run in 4 directions. Strategy is defined as exploiting the enemies weakness, tactics is planning around that strategy.

Not sane or logical, that just happens to be your preference. Multiple players, this could be an option, but not my choice.

For solo, all my cars escape in the same direction where the terrain presents the biggest obstacles for the AI. Plus, there are strength in numbers, so keep your group close in case a fight is eminent. This type of encounter usually lasts 10-15 minutes unless I decide to engage.

found a simple solution..

Stuff doesn't work right, developer doesn't care to support. Just stop paying premium for a sub-par buggy game. Denial of bugs doesn't get them fixed, just makes people look stupid.
