Firelight`s arena hosts, among other events, the infamous gladiator combats which pit slaves against mutant creatures captured in the wilderness. BR>Those who are successful in these combats may eventually earn their freedom. The PIT is a very good description of this insidious hell-hole! The arena is actually built around an inactive volcanic crater with steep sides making escape impossible except through the heavy iron gates that are ALWAYS manned by heavily armed personnel. The center of the arena has many structures built there allowing combatants to use the cover of the structures to their advantage...... IF you can ever gain an advantage against some of the NASTIEST denizens that Evan has to offer. Although the crater itself is inactive, there are Fumaroles along the edge of the crater that will scald and or boil any unwary, unlucky occupants thrown into this Gladiator Arena for the viewing pleasure of the populace.
