 Murphy`s Law took the Racing League title by a point in one of the most hotly contested leagues in seasons. HellRazors came in a close second, missing out on first place by only one point. Murphy`s Law holds the Somerset Pedestrian Combat 1 title for 2050. HellRazors won the Somerset Race League in 2048, but Murphy`s Law beat their dreams for another win this year by a nose. The months of the league saw the scoreboard go up and down, with almost 100 competitors vying for their chance at a rare Pike chassis. Team Bansi, Rising Sun and the Paladins all finished close behind, each holding their own place near or at the top at one point or another during the season. Nighttime Birds, The Underdogs, The Rip Riders, Slayofthens, and Hazzard County Legends rounded out the top 10 teams. As usual, the league included several close races, numerous life-threatening injuries, and more than a few deaths. A scandal also broke out when League officials caught the Smith Street Boys padding their point totals. The `Boys ended up in 73rd place. In addition to the cash and car, the winning gang also gets sponsorship from Badyear Tyres, as well as the Southern Pride manufacturing plant.
