Prong Win Gateway Winter Meltdown League
| The Gateway Winter Meltdown League finished, with Prong taking the overall victory and a prize of $60000. The runners-up were Kings of Metal, and finishing in third place overall were Interstate 82.

In the First race, members of Prong and Interstate-82 faced off against Joel's Bastards and Longo's Merry Men. It was the first evenly matched fight in a long time. Interstate-82 and Prong won easily, even though they only had one psiker vs 2 psikers for the Merry Bastards.
A member of Prong was heard to say "Psikin don't stop bullets." While in fact, it actually does stop bullets, as prong fired into the Longo car for three turns without hurting it. A turn or two later, the men from Longo's and Joel's were defeated.
The second race was a vengeful thing. A 4 vs 2 ganking of the poor drivers from Prong. They were just a few feet away from safety when the final blow was struck. If not for a untimely collision with a protruding portion of the wall, Prong would have likely made the final turn and won the race. In any case, the large team assembled by the Joel's Bastards was unable to stop the car from long standing local pirate gang Mastadon from winning the race. After two races, Prong and Mastadon were tired for First.
The third race was a real surprise, because Joel's Bastards was unable to find any friends to help him in this race. Expecting heavy resistance, the boys from Prong and Interstate 82 had help from other gangs. It was a 4 v 1 mugging. The boys from Prong and Renshai felt guilty for bullying Joel. "We don't ever want to become like those guys, using gang ups and dirty tricks to win. We just want to shoot guns and race". So Renshai resigned the race rather than attacking Joel with such unfair numbers and Prong turned to face the racing field, easily winning the race and taking a commanding lead of the league.
Race 4 saw more of the same tactics from Joel's Bastards and Longo's Merry men. They signed up a ringer from the Blood Roses, who had not participated in the league at all and brought the Kings of Metal back for another round. Their tactics made no sense though. They made no attempt to help Mastadon win the race and force a tie in the league, they were solely content with attacking the ganger from Interstate-82. Prong quickly dispatched the Mastadon car and sealed the league title, and Interstate-82, despite the 3 v 1 odds they were facing, quickly dispatched Joel's Bastard. The Blood Roses then resigned and Kings of Metal went on to win the race and claim second prize. Odd though, even though their allegiance was obvious, they chose not to race for any of the Kingdom camps and the camp fame from winning second place was wasted. |
