Yes, I think he's mistaken Grog. These are classified as 'town arena events' rather than 'wilderness' events hence there's no fame (and certainly no rep.) loss for escaping them.

Yeah.. as far as I recall an exploding vehicle actually does no damage to anything external to it. This is something that should be changed.


Actually I've seen exploding cars hurt "regular peds" quite badly.

Sorry, you're right. My memory isn't the best sometimes. A 'big explosion' is indeed applied in the vicinity of an exploding car. It's probably just lucky zombies in this case... but they *are* tough muthas.

well basically it's because I think the only explosion blue text that would hurt them is shrapnel into the side of the head. 90%+ (or more?) crits wouldn't affect them.

I was in the League Combat in SS last night. I have been working late and didn't know Zombies were going to be there. Was quite fun, THANKS SAM!

If I were to critique anything it would be that driving into them at high rates of speed didn't hurt them at all. Just launched them across the map.

I get the point they are tough which is cool but a 3,000 lb. car didn't hurt them? It unnerved me! Cars hitting them should hurt some.

IDEA: Maybe hurt them more but give them some regeneration?

My stress level went way up when the engine died! Was great fun though! :o

My stress level was up on turn one, when I suddenly found myself with no armour on the bottom as a zombie spawn right next to me and apparently picked my weakest side to breach! Thought my hopes of staying in contention in the combat league would be over in turn 2!

I am talking about my own personal stress. I had to smoke up after that one.

My driver was knocked unconscious for a spell in League Combat event 70199. Zombies were chewing through my armour then! Fortunately for him, they were closer to the sides that *hadn't* been pummelled by weapons fire and he woke up before they got through to the cabin. I also had a few kindly souls trying to pick them off!

I got about 3 of these and still no kill.

Hmm IMO zombies are fun for a while, but loses appeal fast. But that is IMO only. Probably because there doesn't seem to be much feedback when you hit a zombie, unlike driving where if you keep firing at a car, it flips, turtles, explodes and what-not. With zeds, it's not very fun knowing that most of my shots don't work. /me thinks it would be cooler if there are more zeds, but you don't have to score headshots to kill them.

i think it would be better if loads of them started in little groups more widely dispersed.... as it is once you are clear of the pack running away is too easy

I haven't decided exactly, grog. They certainly couldn't be as tough as the zeds nor as exploitable by the deathracing organisers. While some mutants in Evan are outcasts, others are (barely) tolerated and could even be seen drinking in Dexter's sometimes.
