The first 'zombie assault on Somerset' ped event is running tonight. I'll schedule some more over the next few days once we see how this one works out.

You enter from the Events Diary. Maximum of 10 players due to polygon limits.

Yeah, I'm going to create several more. I wanted to be in the first one in the *cough* unlikely event of bugs.

I'll make another for say 2am server time? (22:00 is actually earlier than the 1st one).

The first one will probably still be on.. I need a little gap in case of bugs. I know bugs have never happened before but there's always a first time..

Naaah. I figure the 22:30 event will be finished by 23:30 or 23:45. Maybe earlier. I have tested this new code quite a bit so hopefully no bugs, or if there are they should be minor. Fixable by 00:30..

THinkin grenades should have a chance of killing them.

Today in a high stakes(for me) League combat they showed up and there was like 4 zombies crowded around a car that exploded and they were unhurt.

It's not that big a deal(unless they are ongoing) but it just didn't seem right.

Any chance the zombies could have red text above them rather than green? Would make it a lot easier to see what's going on.

Yeah.. as far as I recall an exploding vehicle actually does no damage to anything external to it. This is something that should be changed.

The event is classified as a 'no teams arena event', hence everyone is green, but I'll fix that if I get time (busy at work today).

Would it be useful to have a feature letting you set the colours above different vehicles/peds, either on an individual basis or for groups of objects such as "anyone not belonging to me", "anyone not in my team", etc.. ?

What times are good for people today and tomorrow for more of these? Is there much interest or are they just a novelty you'll do once only?

Announcement: I will be substantially increasing the gain of handgun skill in the zombie events.

As goat said to me.. "there's no better environment to learn a skill than when your face is about to be bitten off." (I paraphrase.. but maybe it says something scary about his home life, I dunno..)

I was spectating at event ID 70273 and it was fierce !
Went back to rec later and watched the death of David Blake

1.Turn 14 Willette shot a zombie " between the eyes" and had no effect

2.Zombies were getting " leg blown off at the thigh" and remained 100%

3. Should we watch any bitten characters for next 28 days?

I kinda feel that this is a good exercise and that ped combat could 'cultivated' more - it all works, just need refining

I would join another now you have fixed things, it was just the time it took that was off putting last night.

I fixed both of those in time for the 2nd zombie event.

Yep. The first running of a new type of event is *always* best considered a prototype. I really should do limited-participation in one or two tests before public release. But time is always tight!
