As you may have noticed, there is currently a maximum number of fully-controlled objects per player, defined in a DW:T combat.

Having run some tests, I'm not sure that it's necessary or useful.

Should we remove this concept?

You mean like the "Max Number of Vehicles per Player" and how it defaults to 2?

I think it may depend on the scenario. Most scenarios are likely to want unlimited control by players. Though, if this restriction is removed, couldn't someone trying to cause problems just take control of all of the cars on one team, and when someone joins they couldn't select a car because the other person took them all?

I'm hesitant to say "Remove it", but maybe "default it to off" and have it able to be turned on as an option to limit the number of cars per player.

Yep.

Something I included was the ability to release control of a car, so if more players join you can pass cars to them.

Excellent. So the only thing people would have to worry about is malevolent hogging of vehicles. Though, if it comes to that, you can just password it.

You're right, it doesn't seem that important. There may be certain scenarios people could set up that they'd perfer a heavy NPC presence, or maybe just a "one car per person!" kind of contest-thing. It's not a critical feature, but since it's there, maybe just change the default to unlimited vehicles and leave it an option to limit them. That'd be my vote (if it's an option).

Oh, unrelated to the topic but I have to ask, did you find out what was causing the DW:T games to end after one vehicle surrenders?

Thanks!

Yeah.. I was thinking I'll just set the default to say 20 cars each. Which is functionally equivalent to turning it off....

Yeah that's fixed, I was accidently resetting the teams to 0 cars each after they had been spawned.

We had a good-fun 6-player test earlier today, which uncovered some usability things I want to improve, but it generally worked well.

1. Sounds great to me.

2. Fantastic! I'll give my map another test run then. And I'm making a new one now, too. Thanks also for opening up all the options. I'm really enjoying this feature! (if it wasn't obvious  :) )

Soooo, quick question.

How do you edit a template you have already created?

Or do you have to do it all in one sitting?
