Moving servers, Wednesday

I answered this one before but it got deleted (we had 2 versions of the databases running concurrently and causing mayhem for a while). Answer: it's to save money. I wanted to upgrade the main database server and have it in an ISP where I could hire more game servers as necessary. The Irish ISP I have been with have increased their prices by a factor of at least 5, so I had no option to upgrade anything with them, only to stay on the contract I was already on (which I had since Jan 2006). For instance, in Lord Foul's post on skill caps, his apostrophes are replaced with question marks. The Portuguese instructions title has funky characters in it instead of the accented letters. Stuff like that. edit: the Gateway RP forum....the Gaelic (?)
