Anyway... who the f*** are you? I used to have a friend called ninesticks. I loved him so much I gave him a heavy laser and a completely unique laser buzzer skin. But he left me. :-(

As far as a Fire Engine making a good mortar platform, watch any replay of my Metal Massacre squad. Can't hold as much loot as a lorry, but it is fast, maneuverable, and can take quite a few hits!

Even for a Saturday evening, the noise was deafening in Joe's Alehouse. A large gang from the northern desert had apparently gotten their hands on an unusual amount of loot lately, and were celebrating in style.

Kirsten Bealer was nursing a beer, and contemplating what she was doing with her life. It had sounded exciting when she was approached by the leader of Kaizer's Orchestra, promises of driving big trucks through the wastelands, hauling valuable cargo, seeing exotic places. So far, the only trucks she had seen were the ones she were practicing with, and while Joe's Alehouse could certainly provide some weird people, it wasn't exactly exotic.

She suddenly realized she was no longer alone in her booth. Next to her was the most non-weird, non-exotic person she had ever seen. It was like he was invisible, despite sitting in plain sight, looking for all the world like he had sat there for hours, even though he hadn't been there when she last turned her head.

"I understand your gang is in need of some armaments. I am in need of information about some armament pirates. They have proven quite elusive, but very well informed. They always manage to hit poorly defended convoys with very valuable cargo, fresh off the racks of the market here in Gateway. We would like for your gang to go shopping at the market. You will know what you're looking for when you see it. It would normally be outside your price range, but you will be able to haggle it down to something you can afford. Then take whatever defenders your gang can muster, and ferry it off to Somerset. I do believe you will finally get to drive a real truck. When you are attacked, and we are counting on that happening, you run like the wind. We want the attackers spread out, not all together feasting on your salvage. Kirsten was at a complete loss for words. She closed her eyes, trying to figure out how she would get in touch with 'Big' Glenn, and how she would explain this offer. When she opened her eyes again, the man was gone, like he had never been there.
