Anyone Ped Skinning?

Nobody seems to bother with ped skins, which is a shame as most of the standard human ones look like they belong in One Flew Over The Cookoos Nest'! Rev has done some really good ones and couple newer players have done some too, but I haven't seen any of them around lately. Ped skins are a big pain with a lot of trial and error patience needed because of how the ped skin files are laid out. Main reason why most don't attempt to do them. Each ped skin is just like a vehicle skin. You just have to figure out which panel fits where on the model. Then you can start creating some cool skins. One thing to point out is that each ped model, like Greta the blond in the gray trench coat, can one have custom skin. That means if you have 10 Greta model characters, they would all have the same outfit. You cant individualize skins per characters. I haven't tried doing additional ped skins per model to verify this is 100% correct, but this is what I remember told years back. Best way I view them is in showmodels thru the client. Could someone explain, step by step, how to submit your work? Do you need to name your ped work a certain way, default viron is viron_tex. Do you need to place your file in to the DW character shapes folder. Interesting note, the last TT skin I did is just sitting in my DW skinning projects folder, never moved into DW, and it works fine. Does the file in your DW folder need to have the same filename as was submitted to DW for approval? I saved my file as viron_skull. Will that work or does it need to be renamed and resubmitted? Incorrectly naming the file will cause issues. Copy and paste your custom skin into the appropriate ped character folder. Showmodels is the user name you type in when trying to log in to client, password is left blank. Pressing enter will not work, you must click Login button. Once logged in, scroll thru all the folder names, peds are after vehicles.
