Had a good gunner lose a leg today. Once he's showing healed, can he still be used as a gunner, or is it time to take him out for one last run as a ped?

If it is not trained over 100 skill, i would label it as expendable.

losing a leg will only drop his activity by 25%. If he has good speed, strength and is specced- it's not always better to bin them and find a recruit. My last leader had lost a limb, but still got to 200+ before capping and was multi specced.

Not to nitpick, but losing a leg is only a 15% activity loss. I have one other partially disabled ganger, she lost an eye, down 10% permanently.

Ok, he's a pretty decent gunner, past 100. Have been using him in my training squad, so his purpose is to get more young gunners. He's old and a zerk addict, so I don't have expectations of long life from him, lol.

Sounds like I can keep him awhile, he's not bug bait yet.

Yeah, you should keep him at least until hes not useful anymore. You may also give the toughest missions to him, ped combat and such.

AFAIK, leg loss doesn't affect gunners anyway. They've always shown 100% activity in vehicles for me.
