remove point bonus for having subscribers in races

Short version, current point system favors those who can get races with other subscribers often. Even those players who come in second or third can get more than 20 points for the race, thereby getting more points than someone who runs a race without subscribers.

Proof: calculate average weekly points for winners of most leagues.

Even if I don't like the current point system, I can't think of a way to compensate the extra difficulty of racing human players rather than just AI

Besides which, every single league apart from CoEs would have about 10 winners all on maximum points!

Both of these are great points, as much as I dislike the current meta-game of having to find the events with the most participants as well.

Just thought of a way to do that, recording the best race time and lap time and give extra points each week according to this data. However, this would require all league races of the same week to be in the same venue and use the same car.

Anyways, nothing matters much since no change is gonna be made on that regard

if 10 players have the same score at then end then have a winner take all race.

having human players of your caliber would make it more difficult but I would be willing to say that I don't think many new players have made it there yet.


Hurm, I wonder what the skill level of the NPC drivers in the race range from anyway

The only way that would resolve the player participation bonus issue would be to reduce the amount of races per day or per week. Like COE, there are only two races that week per league. This would create races with multiple players, and at the same time, almost eliminate any possibility of ties in points.

The draw back from this is there are players who like the variety of days and times due to limited play times. Setting fixed days or time slots would make it difficult to impossible for them to join in those races. Only possible solution to this would be scheduling these races during the weekend when most players would be available. But, there are still players that may not have free weekends, so there will always be a conflict somewhere.

The only thing I can suggest is to try some of the other that don't have the player participation bonus. Those leagues tend to have better prizes anyways. If you are trying to win camp prizes or badge collecting, you are going to have to ask players to join the league events you want to play in. Or, you are going to have to ask other players in the league when they tend to play and join in on their preferred time slot.

What was the reason behind changing the scaling from 22,24,26,28,30,32 etc...

To 20,26,32,38(might be 31,34,38 cant remember)?? Its ridiculous. I remember thinking at the time it was so a couple buddies(who shall remain nameless) could always score 26 points instead of a "meagre" 22. I don't know if that was why though.

Frankly the best way to bust up the ol "buddy points" system was to see everyone who joined events and then when you see the buddies in the event together you join and kick their ass. The player who was most vocal about hiding player names in the event sign up is no longer active... so lets have that back and be men and fight for these prizes as Sam intended.

honestly doesn't the hidden players help though? I seem to recall more than once where someone left an event after a tough competitor joined, only to play an easier match later and possibly get more points because they had more players... I personally like the anonymous signups for this reason.

IMO we should be able to see who has entered an event. in RP you can look at the signup sheet or the start line and know this information

I like it yup, I dont have to join at 4 mins hoping to get a real game...sigh...

Maybe subscribe if u like the game enough to play leagues?
