"Fire once" should fire only once, preventing rapidshot from activating. rapidshot should only activate on "repeat fire"

agree - those tense moments trying to demo a FE without blowing the sucker sky high get much worse if you suddenly RS

Agreed. Makes total sense.
Hard- earned Specs should never work against a player. If you're selecting FIRE ONCE- it's because you only WANT to fire once- otherwise you would be on repeat fire for the bonuses.

This is how it is supposed to work. I have never had rapidshot activate when firing once. This isn't to say it didn't happen to you. If there are more players experiencing this, I will pass the info to Sam to verify.

I've also seen it happen once on drops that i noticed.

When you are selecting which way to fire your weapon, are you clicking on your target vehicle or on the weapon you are using?

"Fire" is for one turn only. Yes true, a single turn for the most part is a single shot. Except for GGs and HGGs, then there will always be two shots per turn.

Also, rapid shot only happens when you have selected "repeat fire", so you can control whether or not rapid fire has a chance to occur. So if you have 2 front mounted weapons and you are trying to use a single shot to minimize damage and hopefully demo the vehicle, you select "Fire all weapons" then click on one weapon to "Stop Firing" (you can also select "change target" or "unassign gunner"). This method has always produced just one shot for me.

Either you never noticed, don't have anyone with rapidshot, or YOU are suffering a bug, cause i havent spoken to anyone, ever, who hasn't experienced this issue except you.

Talking about gats and unassigning gunners makes me really wonder if you understand what i am talking about?

I understand fine. You have an issue with rapid shot happening when you don't want it to happen. I don't have your issue and I have plenty of characters with rapid shot. The times I have intentionally wanted only one shot, I get those results. You apparently do something different than I do.

And if rapid shot works for me the way it was intended, how is it I have a bug??? That makes a lot of sense, doesn't it???

I use Fire Once all the time with my car cannons and never have it rapidshot though the gunners have rapidshot 2.

Maybe it's got to do with how you're doing it Grimm, or the weapon involved? Could be a problem with HGG, I never use fire only with a HGG.

It might be luck. If you select fire once and never had rapid occur doesn't mean it hasn't happened to someone else. Die rolls and all. I've never noticed this happening personally.

I will start testing tonight. I will select the fire once option, for all my rapid shooters, for the whole magazine.

Because I don't hae proof that it was intended that way and most the time when sam is asked, he says that he doesn't remember. So I have to believe no one knows how it was intended.I notice it happening with CC's MMG HMG laser and rocket racks. i've tried fire from target and from weapon. there is no option to "fire once", only "Fire" and "repeat fire"

No, it doesn't. Rapidshot only happens when repeat firing.
