Solution for Mech Alt Account

*StCrispin* Beasts of the Lair Darkwind Guru Anarchists Faction Group: Marshals Posts: 2,657 Joined: Feb 13, 2012 I thought of a solution for the problem of people using Mech Alt accounts that's not as harsh as erasing them (which seems to be what some people think is the solution, but then again some people think Banning people who cheat or exploit is a solution as well, and it isn't. Without going into the whole who's opinion matters most as to wether its and exploit or cheat, ect... which ends in fights) Anyway. The Mech Alt characters should have all their Mech skills reduced to ZERO. Since *Sam* said the account could continue to be played "Legitimately". Its hard to clearly determine if its an Alt or if its as Moth says (his brother). I know this myself since I was accused of having Alts (My brother) and also of BEING an Alt of Grimm's back in the days when he was Juan. *StCrispin* Beasts of the Lair Darkwind Guru Anarchists Faction Group: Marshals Posts: 2,657 Joined: Feb 13, 2012 So since Moths Brother created an account and Subbed it for 2 years and then moved his entire untrained and Unskilled gang (or most of it - 40 out of 50) to Sarfsfield and set them to Mech Training Accidentally. And then stopped playing when Moth was "away" for whatever reason for an extended period of time and accidentally got all his guys trained up to 100-300 skill in mech and nothing else, and logged in often enough to denote training speeds on them in their nicknames (they all have the same nicknames "Slow Learner" and "Fast Learner" and "Mech" for some reason)... And had them moved to his brothers buddies camp even though he may or may not have done it himself according to Moth, if I read that right... Anyway they should all be FIXED TO HELP HIM CORRECT HIS CRIPPLING ERROR. Now they all are lousy Scouters with like 0 gunnery skill (Appearantly he recruited them using Mech Specific for what skill he was seeking when he recruited them... I am unsure of what to do in this situation since I dont know all the issues you guys had in the past and how they were dealt with but in my opinion Thistle Farms was the perfect example of an alt, with ZERO events played and fully mech trained. The only reason I can think of to justify Sam's decision is that many other players have alt accounts and everyone but me knows. News flash - the gang is still subbed, and still has its crew, now split between BL SF Hemp Embassy and SS....so, they are still, indeed, being used for manufacturing (basically - camps aren't that simple - NPCs manufacture, subbed mechs contribute to mech rating, which determines what your camp has the capability to build, and also adds time bonuses to lesser-skilled equipment) But yeah, I totally agree that the lack of a true kibosh on the circumstance, or any real punishment, tends to suggest that alt accounts are OK, so long as they have the appearance of being normal accounts.  Which is what Sam said in that thread. ......................... vet wv raceL1 pvp3 paintball9,2,9 Posted Nov 4, 2015, 11:21 pm

As tallus has ponted out elsewhere I dont play as much as i would like. I have a bunch of characters in the vault training mech. how long between events doesit take before i am just one of bastilles alt accounts? dont get me wrong.. i have had a private conversation wth moth about this... i dont think he is right but I also dont think this is clearcut like Juan running Grimms account and using it to kill players characters.... but this doesnt help. Funny, since it wasn't termed an exploit by anybody except you until a couple weeks ago - about the time I stopped running them that way. ** EDIT** It was more than just you.  I shouldn't make such sensational (and, false) claims.
