Sam,

Can I check how this works - as I understand it, it clones the vehicle we nominate as a NPC design and then that sits in the back ground waiting for you to approve it and set how rare etc etc

Just wanted to check once we had click on the submit button that we are ok to alter the orginal vehicle?

No, actually the 'live' vehicle is all that exists until approval, and it's at that point that I clone them. I have already rejected a few which had low armour on one side etc. I try to accept/reject them as soon as I see them.

uh oh - meaning that some of the ones I submitted might not of made it through because I thought it copied them when you hit submit. And I went on to change them afterwards.

Also the only Moose chassis I had was at 91% so the two designs I put through might need sorting out - sorry.

Chassis health and component health doesn't matter - they're always cloned at 100%. It's only armour that needs to be watched carefully.

Sam I just had a combat with the "Guy Fawks" build, and its nothing but a pain. The two of them in the arena combat I was in did more damage to themselves then anything, and made themselves resign. Might wanna reconsider keeping that one in the game.

Now i have to deal with accidentally firing on them and pissing off some of the gangs.
Note: yes i use the F keys but they resigned just before i opened up the next turn. Fantastic.

Guy Fawkes again one of mine. With a lousy gunner it is going to be a liability.

This underpins my original query. Is there any point submitting designs if the AI isn't capable of exploiting them.

If tailoring the AI to the cars is too difficult, maybe we should be tailoring the cars to the AI. As we have no insight into the AIs capabilities, it puts the onus back on Sam to do all the design work.

Often overlooked I think, when people talk about the AI. In the pic above the rams did not have a chance to be too effective. Not good terrain for them, and no guns supporting their charge. Too easy just to move on. That doesn't mean the AI can not be effective with rams. If this were an ambush on Great Southern Desert or Lonsome Highway, that could be really friggin nasty, and I could have lost 3 trucks quite easily.

with the AI design suggestion it falls on to the player to be sensible with the designs they put forward and think on how the AI acts and the designs that work in the wild.

Plus Sam has the final say on what's goes into the game and what doesn't - I've had a few design turned down as Sam didn't like them
