Darkwind - Viewing Topic: anyone still using powerpc Macs?

I'm wondering if anyone here is still using powerpc Macs, or if you have all switched to Intel? I'm finding it difficult to get engine builds working for the old powerpcs.

We lost our ppc's about 5 years ago. One passed due to natural causes, the other to a violent coffee incident, that was supposedly an "accident". General performance at that time was getting very sluggish.

Yeah, they must have stopped being manufactured in about 2005, right?
I got a build made anyhow.. can't be sure it works.

2005 is the latest I see. I don't think I'd worry too much about it at this point.

Not *EVERYTHING* has to be backwards compatible.

That's true, but also remember DW is based on a game engine of 2002-2005 vintage, so in terms of actual horsepower requirements it's very light.. so it's a pity to not support older machines when they're actually capable.
