Making it so pyro kills crew makes it MORE powerful than it is now - at least now you can bail out before you die in a fireball lol

Now I'm not saying that there shouldn't be a power to temporarily stun enemy crew (killing them outright seems a bit too much)...

Honestly - you guys can do or advocate whatever THE PHUCK you want. I'd rather Sam not waste time on this.

The only way someone's panties are gonna get a knot on this now is because COE2 allows PSI. So just ban it. Save him time... please. Thanks.

They think it's the car that's on fire, not them

If they get out of the car they think they have escaped the burning car and cease to suffer damage for the remainder of the effect. for the few rounds that they are out of the car they still have that imaginary burn, so if they suffer more injuries right then like splash or a ped rifle, they might still die from a heart attack...

Also you can set peds on fire outside the car with pyro. I did it to Latte in COE2 and he got really pissed and got You to work me over with psi's for three season after that lol.

Seriously - SAM Fix Shanty - Fix Morgan, fix a whole bunch of other stuff and just ban PSI from PvP and save a big headache.

1. I think tlk is the best balanced psi, its useful but limited. Dust clouds are a great advantage. it is possible to throw a flash 100m. I would not think this needs to be more powerful.

I agree with joel on this.  this aspect is so rare that it is of low prority for tweaking it.  Other things are of higher priority.  It BECOMES an issue only when someone feels unfaily knobbed by it in PvP.

I say ban Psi from PvP unless both players have a Psi and choose "Psi "on" like voting on turn length while in the event.

Although I think Psi in the Pit should be allowed since FL is a pro-Psi (Psi-Open?) town

Love the fact Sam calls this balanced... How can tink be balanced when he is basically the only person using psis? Its as unbalanced a view as you can get... Like Joel said.. a waste of dev time. We get replies in this thread but silence on loads of issues that affect everyone.

JUST GET RID is about as balanced as my discussion is on this subject.

People have said that I started moaning about PSI after what happened to me on Sunday, and that it's just sour grapes.

Damn right it is!!!!!

I have never had a PSI ganger, and knew nothing about it, I guess I just assumed the abilities would be to do with firing bonuses etc.

Having someone use Jedi mind powers to turn my guns off at the start of a DeathRace was far and away the most bizarre, unfair, and completely out of context moment I have had in any game. Ever.

On Sunday I discovered 2 new things in DW.
You can't modify vehicles in camp that have been pooled by other campmates....... but you CAN use mind attack spells to turn peoples guns off in a DR!

I would argue that TLK needs a little love, when you compare it to PYRO were in one turn you can disable a nearby opponent, TLK lets you at best give them a negative modifier to hit you for a few turns, or give them a light push that will probably not push them out of LoF.

So yeah TLK is the weakest combat psi in my opinion, has no reason why you would want to have it unless for RP reasons or you want to feel like a good helpful Jedi for your fellow scouters.


But I guess the best way to balance them out is to NOT LET YOU CHOOSE YOUR PSI SKILL period. (and give a big boost to the mind push of TLK)

I think you should roll a random psi specialism at you 1st 50 skill points, then at your next 50 get the option to roll the dice again OR follow in your original ability


To think I have been merrily grinding along in this game for 10 months, without even realising that this utter ridiculousness was going on around me!

Events are hard enough to win in this game when faced with the mighty talents of Joel, Necro, Lord Foul etc every sunday.
I now have to sit on the startline, outnumbered 3-1, facing certain death, and now I have to worry about someone telepathically turning my guns off before I even get 1 puny little shot in!

In the last couple of days I have wondered if this PSI nonsense is a gamebreaker for me.
But now i'm thinking- NO. wait. Is this my calling. Is this my mission- my endgame?

I am normally totally opposed to needlessly redding other players gangers, but....

(and you vets can snigger at me all you want)

This PSI witchcraft nonsense has no place in Evan. If it is used against me again, I will not stop untill I have eliminated every evil, heretic practitioner of it from this world.
If it takes me 5 years I swear I will not rest (or play on my Xbox) untill these pseudo Jedi sorcerer's are no longer darkening our rallys and races.

If Tinker is the only player currently employing these 'black arts' - and no-one else really wants PSI in the game, then there seems to me to be a very obvious solution to the problem that all the non Alleys can focus on........

Seriously guys Sam has put a lot of work into psionics, it was promised along time ago and took it's sweet time getting here. It's only sad that after it was implemented nobody could be in a position to give constructive criticism, yes even after the 2 week testing phase that only a handful of players (myself included) got a chance to barely test .

I continued testing it out for myself with my own gangers that took forever to level up, (something like 2 IRL years?).

Since we are coincidentally on the subject of Brun's warth, this is a good time as any to, with our shared experiences, put things into balance.

It's not wasting Sam's time if we try to work with him and improve questionable aspects of the game.

This is my last post on the subject.

IMO- PSI in DW is akin to introducing AK47s into AD&D- completely ludicrous and out of context.

I have registered my disgust of this foul art, and stated my future intentions.

As far as I'm concerned, this PSI witchcraft has no business being in this glorious game that I have grown to love so much.

And I shall see it so.

I would agree that there are arguably other areas that need addressing first, however there is always merit to having a reasonable discussion about issues.

There's many things that need improvement, but only problem is the player base can't get behind one idea or just don't care, or don't know what is a good idea if it bit them in the Ass, they love to tear down ideas if it doesn't suit their play styles or pre conceptions, Sam must thinking what the ####

Some things are easier to implement than others, he's been in a rut with Into The Ruins for quite a while, or maybe just plain too busy idk, but there is zero radio contact on that front in the forums.

He pops in on a suggestion once in a while, because HE thinks it's a good idea, and some #### face comes around screaming at the top of his voice that it will doom the game and he will quit yada yada... WTF is wrong with this community?
