Following the exploit of a loophole in camp pvp that let a camp attack another and then close all of its 'open' hours to avoid retaliation, I am adding the following rule, with immediate effect:

if you are at war with another camp, and you have less than 4 'open' hours in a day, they will be able to attack you at any time.

Please can SAM or a Marshall confirm once and for all:

If I am a member of a camp that is at war with another camp, can I attack ANY members of the enemy camp, ANYWHERE, whether they are PVP ON or OFF?

No, you can't. That;'s the way it used to be, but with the simplified pvp rules brought in a few months ago, that changed. Squads can only now be attacked based on their owner's pvp status. With a camp war, all you can do is schedule an attack on the camp itself.

Yep... lame...

I think DW has reached the moment when PvP needs to either become completely open, or completely closed.

As long as allowances are made for both opened and closed PvP status -LARGELY ON THE BASIS OF BASELESS WHINING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ISSUE- there will exist a number of critical, game-breaking problems cause directly by the ambivalent PvP rules.

Globally open PvP won't happen.

If PvP was closed completely, I would have absolutely no reason to play.

Camps and specifically camp wars were made for PvP, what happened?

edit:

I see a gigantic loophole here, a PvP off member of a camp at war can travel unmolested while supplying their camp with vehicles and ammo and gangers even...

I would love it to be so, but there is still room to maneuver here.

The Camp system can be overhauled to be a pvp paradise

you belong to a camp, and are a full member?

1.Pvp on
2. A camp member hits another camp member's squad, the camp gains/looses fame based on the outcome without needing to be at war, but the gains/losses are 50% of what it should be.

Have camps set another camp's status to; enemy friend or neutral.

You can't belong to two camps that are enemies


just throwing this out there, trying to find a dynamic system conducive to foster competition

If a friendly camp's squad gets whacked by another camp you share some fame loss and vice versa


AT War:

If an enemy camp wins a town event you are in your camp(s) get a low fame hit and vice versa. the more expensive the event the higher the effect

Not a loophole. You can create attacks as long as the war is active. Those attacks are scheduled anytime from 24 to 48 hours in the future, to give the defenders time to assemble a squad. It doesn't matter if that scheduled time is after the war is over.

Why would you take over a camp that's at war then? and then complain about getting attacked

It's complicated, why not disable ownership transfers until after the war ends?

To be honest, it sounds rather exploity'ish.

I catch a camp flat footed of an enemy who *just* attacked mine, and magically it switches hands and changes it's name after another "loophole" has been closed concerning that camp?

Seems a little odd the timing don't ya think ?

it closes when one of the camp owners requests it to close, but with a delay of (I think) 48 hours. Simple Zed requested it to close immediately after he launched his attack on the Alley.

I don't think the fact that the camp changed ownership during these events is important.

Let me get this straight

Ok say tomorrow, peace exists, and the Alley wanted to fight again it would have to have permission from st chrisp because his camp's pvp status is closed ??

The alley has it's pvp status on, so anyone can take a pot shot, declaring a war that is auto-accepted, then close their camp to pvp immediately and be safe 4 days later by ending the war unilaterally.... ?
