Troy "Shooter" Gadsden and the other local Cowboys Unlimited members prepared to watch one of the inaugural races on Deadman's Drop with real interest, knowing it wouldn't be long until they were sitting atop the volcano themselves.

"Holy HELL!! Did you see THAT?!" Not more than 100 meters into the race the Wargasm car was pitched into a lava bed; the driver was a cinder in seconds.

The next few minutes found the C/U crew disregarding the remainder of the race in favor of the flaming, raging replay.

"According to our calculations" begins one of the drones in a monotone while he brings up a battered solar-powered calculator and punches in a long series of keys, "that is exactly what should have happened."
