To celebrate the release of two fine new racetracks, the EAA have decided to run a special race/deathrace on each, this weekend.

The races/deathraces will use stock vehicles, and will give special prizes, but beyond that no decisions have been made.

So, if you're interested in attending, you might want to get some characters down south where the sun is sunny!

There's quite a few files to patch in (I'm going to do those needed for Gates of Morgan at the same time) - hopefully I'll finish preparing them this evening. Each file needs to be identified and optimised (if it's a texture).

The Firelight track, "Deadman's Drop" is now patched in and ready for testing. It's marked in the database as 'on probation' until we have tested it a bit, and therefore is only selectable from the website Events Diary 'create custom town event' option.

Deadman's drop will take some getting used to:

189325 - couldn't get NPCs to show up (for any of the events)

First event was rough - track is very uneven and it is very hard to control your car.  Maybe track is too rough - you really can't go much over 60 without flying.  Will try again.  Like it overall though :)

Tried second event - another player joined 189327
A bit better with a heavier car - v8 merc.
Last jump just made both vehs tumble - a bit crazy perhaps, might be possible to get it.

Third full event was also with another player 189329 - who fell off the track and was almost burned alive by the lava lol
Still couldn't stick that last jump.  Not sure if the intent was to cause a pile up but it definitely will.

maybe more than one is needed? for the downhill event, a real knockout would be cool.

4 - 8 at a time, winner or top two move on. Change of driver between heats should be illegal, but most possible.


This track works... AND IS AN ABSOLUTE RIOT! Love it, more please! BiggerA NastieR! with nuns! I think the AI will handle it too. really well thought out groove, Groove. Most jealous you came up with it 1st B)

Now, this I'm not so sure about.  If this is the biggest, nastiest track we ever see in Evan, I won't complain.
