Died trying to assassinate the leader of the Third Avenue Mutilators when his Mercenary got pinned down by a demoaned Maurader. He bled out before the combat ended and didn't get a mention in the DW Gazette. Same day: Debra McCain; jumped by Joels Bastards in GW ped arena, had her head blown off. Gang avenged her by miraculously winning event. Schweitzer and O'Neal - two Large gunners died in second travel encounter in a Contract Hit by the Lacerators, a Shanty gang at the gates of GW. Bad ambush, too close to run away. Tried to fight but vehicles were too banged up. Tried to surrender all vehicles but couldn't because it was an escort mission, and the NPC vehicles refused to surrender. Sadie 'So Not Lost' Chai, our finest gunscout, also killed in the same encounter at the age of 21. She will be missed. (UPDATE) Huh. Turns out Sadie's only mostly dead. She lost an arm and is comatose, but she'll live. Jack, however, is still all dead. Nobody is sure which he had more of: kills or scars. He will be succeeded by "Shifty" Charlene Trueblood, who will make every effort to fill his very large boots. Both his Stetson and car were recovered. They will not be retired. A chance impact with a ram-mounted chomper started a car fire that quickly grew out of control. She left the vehicle, moved away from the impending explosion, and took a rocket from a demoralized phoenix she thought was entirely disabled. When Cowboys Unlimited needed a track or arena win and nothing less would do, the team of Charlene and Josie rarely failed to produce. He took on a tricky 1 lap DR at Somerset's Junkyard track 2 in Flails armed with Rocket Launchers and FoJ, just to earn his nickname. A daring move at the chicane to get to the front of the pack went badly wrong when the car in front resigned and bounced off the barriers right in front of him. At 90mph he ploughed into it, lost consciousness and his car caught fire. He never regained consciousness and was cremated in his car.
