Greetings,

I am fairly new to this game, and as first contribution i would give a hint for those, as me, who use mainly linux.

So, if your machine can handle it, try out the Virtualbox Ose package with the experimental 3D support.
This is simply an easy open source VM (virtual machine) in which you can install any windows version you like (XP sound a good choice).

However, eve if it worked for me, i think my machine can't carry so much weight aside from linux system itself running compiz and all the gaz-machine window manager related stuff.

It was tested on Ubuntu 11.04, 2GB ram and nvidia GT 9500.
