. Marshals can now call variable-length timeouts
. players can now choose the town for a stock event when using the yellow 'Custom Event' button
. Pro events: vehicle rules are now shown in the lobby's 'event preview window'
. Added "request stock race" etc. lines to upcoming events list
. The NPC 'two wave spawn' function has now been rolled out to include high-fame NPC gangs south of Gateway. (It still includes all assassination missions).

I got my first unsolicited second wave today, and man did it throw me for a loop.

I was scouting toward BL from GW and had a firing line set up with things pretty well under control. Suddenly I got the message that more enemy cars were joining the fray, and my client promptly crashed.

Anyway, I came back in and went back to firing on the crowd. It took me a couple of turns to remember that new cars had shown up, so I looked for them. I found them barreling down on my firing line from behind.

Well, things went swiftly to hell after that. I am still not sure how I managed to win the scout.

In related news, two more of my gangers are now weakening...

I've seen three other people post in the lobby chat that their event crashed with the second spawn already this morning.

i just got a second spawn 18 miles from elms.. took out my apa and landy and wiped my best squad.. not happy.. gang leader and all
it was a normal scout too

I think this 2nd wave business needs to stop till Sam fixes it, there's going to be a lot of screaming if not.

Today a mutant bomber spawned in our lorry and it was killed outright (the pu) but all this happened while we were both disconnected, seems like we loose a turn when we crash!

I agree, Tinker. I was hoping that the crashing was taken care of at some point during testing. Now that I know that it hasn't it's rather disconcerting, to say the least.

Even just one turn run when you're not in control can ruin an entire scout.

I got the client crash on wave spawn as well, also, they spawned maybe 50 meters from me which I found a bit odd. I imagine the gods of Evan just willed them into existence, cause there's no way my drivers pay so little attention to the horizon that an Apache is able to sneak in that close :p

Oh, and after the crash it didn't show which cars were demoed in the tool tip anymore either, made it rather confusing for a bit.

Actually, I have a problem with the spawns to, I had one scouting from GW towards BL today and when they spawned, well, the closest enemy was still 150m away from me.

Hard to imagine 4 of them sneaking up to 50m ;)

Can you tell me the event ID?

I assume this was a scout towards Gateway on the 'lost trail' maps? I actually had that set for 2nd wave spawns too.. probably shouldn't have..

can stock combats now be generated too? Have not been on for a few days to check this myself.

a nasty bit of road that anyway. I have not scouted Elms for a while but I would get 2 or 3-1 odds with 450CR, scouting south from there, when I did scout there regularly.

Appears so. At the bottom of the list of upcoming events are three options to request stock events: races, arena combats, and deathraces.
