I have just implemented functions allowing you to add your characters to other people's cars, as long as you are a member of the squad that those cars are in.

One of the reasons this is now needed is that I'm working on having the training camps in each town specialize in different skills. So I envisage some player-run bus services starting up, probably moving between the towns on a Wednesday and back again on a Friday.

Whoever owns the car actually controls the character in the wilderness by the way - as you may have already noticed from your taxi missions.

Hm, couldn't this also open up the idea of hiring out your characters as mercenaries? So if you want to do a scout, you could hire a skilled character from another person's gang, they could add that person to your car, and then use him/her during battle?

I guess you want to make sure you trust someone before hiring out a mercenary to them.

hostage-as soon as you got to town he would have to be removed from the squad automatically.

killing em on purpose-tough to know unless you actually witnessed the encounter, would need a large upfront fee to deter such things
