How much damage will a FT with a pair of Tank Guns do? Not 'not very much,' I bet.

I might not mind if the pirates brought a FT to attack me. Probably the only way I have to get a FT :D

I guess Run and Gun is out of the question and don't let any pirates escape.

One car can do a quick raid while your defenders are dealing with the cars that didn't get hung up on the fences, though!  :cyclops:

With a run and gun playstyle, if one of your opponents cant "keep up" and exceeds 550 meters, then "bam" camp damage?

Also, one thing fast muscle/racer cars are very very good at: keeping enemies who fall behind from escaping. Usually their CR is low enough that they don't get noticed by the AI, and they can hover around 350 from each straggler. One vehicle can even cover multiple stragglers. Just like a trader hunt.

So the gangers who are still in camp would just run and hide if they saw one symphony come running up to the gates? I know this is a game, but that isn't very realistic.

I think the point about these camp attack combats is that they're not actually done on a proper camp map, or with realistically sized forces. This means they're a somewhat abstract representation of the actual combat.

OK, I can accept that rationale.

I have fought all my camp attacks and will continue to do so I wish had had more than 1 hours notice like I had yesterday.

Granted it may have been posted on Sunday but I had things to do and missed it. Sure I got an e-mail but on Saturday or Sunday but its the weekend.

So is a little more notice do-able or it that the inherent risk?

What if a player attacks a camp, and brings nothing but racecars so that they could escape to 550 easily?

What about fixed camp defenses and actually playing out the camp attack on a designated "Camp map?"
A TG-equipped bunker would make short work of a muscle, but would be in danger from a line of Buzzers, and so on.

It's what I'd do. Organize a cavalry raid of Bullets and Vampires to make a fast slashing attack. Wouldn't do a LOT of damage, but would irritate them and stir up the hive. All kinds of RP elements could be mixed in there - pulling forces off another camp, etc.

I don't have the knowhow or the skill to make maps but maybe it would be worth getting a few camp gates maps made. They would have to be generic and not set up like the actual camp, as I believe that would require a separate map for each camp as well as needing changes if camp buildings are changed. Could probably get away with 2 or 3 for small, medium and large camps?

I actually have partially-written code for spawning proper camp maps based on the specific camp with correct buildings etc. I kind-of abandoned it at the time so it only applies to the earliest camps made, right now. I'll re-assess what it might involve to complete..

This would probably add a lot of relevance to camp setup and, at least slightly, to the 'emotional' investments into particular camps. I'm guessing this would be a very appreciated and popular function. I remember hoping for it back when camps were first announced.

Here's to the hope it won't cost ya an arm and a leg.

You really only get 1 hour's notice? I always get more... You sure you're not confusing the server date?

He was away from DW for 23 hours, or more, and when he got back on the attack had been scheduled. With only a day warning it's not hard to only have an hour to prepare.

Ah - okay... I don't disagree that that's unfortunate, but if they are too far out does it give too much time to move cars and gangers to camp and prepare?
