Darkwind - Viewing Topic: Not turning up for events

Just a note for those people who are signing up for events and not playing them:

* There's no point doing this in timetrials, since your car isn't created until you join the game.
* In races/deathraces, your cars will be controlled by AI only for the first 30 game seconds. If you don't turn up within that time, your cars will be removed from the game.

I feel concerned as I often try to schedule events I want to play, but in the end, I may not be available at the moment.

It is also a good way to have AI driving vehicles on races you can't and so bring some cash at gang's home.
Though, this is unfair compared to someone that would play the race. Couldn't -in that case- the prize got divided by 2? You are still taking the risk of losing a gang member and/or a car.

I know where you're coming from, but that would run the risk of the game turning into a management simulation, and my server spending massive CPU cycles simulating events that no-one was even at.

Earlier this year, before I made this particular rule, there were a couple of gangs entering everything in site and turning up for none, and they were making a tidy profit from it.
