Ok, every 5 days I can recruit a character for free? Is this also true, when I hired other characters before for money?

What is it when I can hire a character for 500$? Usually they cost 1000$ so I dont understand why there is 500$ stated, now! Bug or feature?

The cost reduces slowly since your last character was taken, until it reaches zero at 5 days.

Should be added to the manuals, because they say you get a free Char every 5 days!
