Dunno if it's been observed or commented on (or if it's worth doing so) but I have noticed that I can change targeting during the firing phase.
I can even change targeting to something that isn't in my firing arc, and the round will fire off in the general direction of the new target (although I've never seen it hit the new target).
During the next orders phase, it is necessary to give the fire or repeat fire order for the new target or firing ceases.
I've used this trick (exploit? not a big one if it is) a couple of times when I have been firing on an enemy vehicle, and a friendly unexpectedly gets in the way - if I switch targets before it's my gunners turn to fire, alles gut.
Guess that's one advantage to having a bunch of slow gunners ;)

been commented on before... not sure its worth changing...

as you say you still miss a turns firing as you ahve to repeat fire orders and the one snap shot is wildly inaccurate as it has no turns of aiming or sustained fire.

i always saw it as a gunner suddenly deciding to swap targets as a new target presents... getting one (normally wild) shot off before steadying their aim.

dont use it on purpose... its not worth the downsides but quite often do it bt accident.

It has been mentioned before, yeah.. I intend to fix it. It has been suggested as a bit of an exploit.

I try this quite often to try knock back pirates in a dangerous position. Occasionally I get a lucky shot in, flip a car or knock him back off a hill, lucky often enough to consider it as an option. Once I managed to hit two targets with a HGG in a single turn an another time 2 targets with a hmg with rapid shot gunner in one turn. Even though I have been lucky, I probably get myself in trouble more than I save myself with this tactic.
