ATTENTION everyone, DW bug issues

Lord Foul .-^-HellRazors-^. Darkwind Guru Mutants Faction Group: Rules Council Posts: 3,543 Joined: Jan 12, 2008 There are now a few serious bugs for Sam to fix. Please avoid scouting against any gangs with high Fame and high bounties as their calculations are all messed up. I'm not sure what Sam will have to do (roll back) but it will be big and the less work we give him the sooner things will get back to normal. 4saken The 4saken Darkwind Guru Renegade Group: Members Posts: 2,282 Joined: Jan 1, 2008 The is all the fault of LoadSloanDelerious or one of his accomplices/aliases. He found an infinite money bug. At one point he tried to give himself 427 trillion dollars. The only thing stopping him was that the input field did not have that many digits so he actually ended up with only 4.2 billion. I'm not really sure why he told me this. Maybe hackers like to brag. He said he didn't do it with intent to hurt the game but in the end he, let's just say, "used his powers for evil". There are others here who have used this money exploit as well. You know who you are. And so do I. I had a lengthy chat with him and told him he needed to expose the bug to Sam but he was apparently too busy having fun with it at the time. He did at the time appear to actually have sympathy to the game and be concerned but in the end he has told me contradictory things and acted contrary as well so I really don't know what the truth is. Oh my god. I think this guy is Chaotic Neutral in real life! Anyway I hope the damage is not already so widespread that the game requires a reset. Have we seen any official statement acknowledging that there is a problem yet? I mean, it's one thing to see weird stuff happening and assume that something wonky is going on but it's another to have the developer acknowledge the problem. Yes personally I hope the only effect of this, is a screwed up economy.  It can get worse, we can lose/burnout our only developer on something like this.  I know i'd be thinking "wtf do I do this again" if I were Sam...
