Hello community!

Im a newbie and I thought about pooling my money for a bullet (or equal) as my first (racing) car! I dont get the hang on slow cars so I need a car with decent drifting and accleration stats.
How much money do I need for such car? Any tipps or hints?
thx for help!

Sorry, I really should open up the mechanic shop for viewing only by non-subscribers. I would guess you'd need around 20k when you included a 4L engine and a few bits of armour.

You might however get something cheaper from another player than from Jake.

"Only" for non-subscribers? I think I dont understand that! But it would be very useful to be able to see some stats and prices.

I should have said: I really should open up the mechanic shop (for viewing only) by non-subscribers.

I wouldn't rely on the prices from the manual. I believe they are there for illustration purposes only.

The in-game prices fluctuate fairly often and may also vary by town.

Yes, youre right! I saw 3k for a 4L-engine, around 1k for tyres but no price for armor... Perhaps somebody can tell me what I have to calculate for armor?

Another point: Some say its more useful to get a decent scout as first car others say a racer is also good! From my point of view I cant say anything about that, because Im not an subscriber, yet, so I dont know very much about whats comming on me! But scouting seems to be very dangerous to the characters chance of survival...

Any suggestions about that? How risky is scouting? How often do you loose a character? Do you always fight scoutencounters or do you run sometimes?

Well i certainly wouldn't suggest scouting for one car gangs...if it's the combat yer interested in, then start building up a few DR cars and arena cars...afterwards u can always tweak em for highway combat....

I think around somerset 3-4 vehicles gives overwhelming odds in your favor.

A car for doing professional Deathraces

Scouting is certainly the most profitable right now.
The minimum specs for a good scouting vehicle in my opinion would be

* 2 weapons with 1-2 reloads each.

* Front/Side armor at at about 80-90% of the maximum possible for the chassis (or higher) and up to 8-10 top/bottom armor.

* Room for at least 2-3 gang members total

But if you're more into racing and can attend a lot of the pro races you could invest in a cheap 1L alpha and enter the 1-2L pro races and do reasonably well in those - of course a marley would be better if you can get one (I'll have 2 for sale tomorrow).

Alo is right Coco.

If you want to scout, find a partner or two, in general people matching your time frame.

Never scout alone unless you own more than 3 cars.
Even with that I generally got kicked.
Well I s**k, I'm only a dev. ;)

I try to post announces in the respective tavern sections to plan scouting.
But you will meet volunteers in the lobby most of the time.

I now have a vehicle back at Somerset (thanks Alo) and will be available.
Cya in the wild! :cyclops:
