can you maybe up the mission limit to...um...8 or so? seems more profitable to double up a couple of em if possible. although, my delivery record is maybe 60% so perhaps I don't need to take on more jobs ;)

I think we should up the time limit for deliveries. Maybe 24 hrs per each leg. I basically couldn't get stuff from badlands to elmsfield in time - and I'm on quite a bit. So 24 hrs between 1 town, 48 between 2, 72 between 3, etc.

Also, can we make missing and sold deliveries cancel pretty soon after they go missing or are sold? I can't any new ones due to these still taking up my 5 mission limit.

Some of the mission time-limits are pretty unforgiving indeed (elmsfield->badlands route). I think the 5 mission limit is ok since prevents from one player hogging all the missions or selling too many packages at once and if it's a lost item the wait could be an additional penalty for failing the mission, not sure if it should work the same way when selling mission packages...

That seems good. Or, to be even more casual friendly, a default time of 24 hours + 24 hours for each leg. So 1 town is 48, two is 72, three is 96, etc. Either or sounds good. :)

Yeah the longer legs are tough as heck to get in 48 hours unless you are on top of it completely, I'm waiting for my big hit as I wasn't able to get a bulk mail run from Elms to Badlands (Still don't know if a Lorry can survive on those roads!) when I was forced to turn around after a particularly nasty combat... Didn't have time to load it on another truck and still make it (I think the total travel time is like 36 or 38 hours from badlands to elms, right?)

Hmm thinking about it missions with variable amounts of time to deliver them could be more interesting aswell (with time-critical courier missions giving you slightly more in rewards and ones with very generous time limit paying less)

Is it possible to run an empty delivery vehicle back to another town without losing fame? I'm kinda stuck waiting for some missions to open up. But perhaps the nature of the biz. ;)

Can you get rid of the old 48hr jobs or change them? Specifically, the ones from Elms to BL and back are still on those job boards and undoable. thanks!

Hmm, I have a failed delivery sitting in Gateway right now, it's quite a big haul, but I have no desire to sell it, and I cant get rid of it...will it stay in my lockup forever?

Seiler, yes it will. I guess we need a 'destroy' option. Or perhaps a way of selling it on (for a reduced price, presumably) to a player who is willing to then sell it to NPCs..?

I know vikk, I just thought they were taking up room or something and no new missons would be generated (because they haven't in a couple weeks) until some of the old one cleared out. I could be wrong, but I know that Badlands board hasn't changed for quite a while.

I would assume you don't want to sell it becuase of the dropped rep you will get? But Sam, shouldn't rep drop with a failed delivery - not with the destroying or selling of the item? I would think that the person giving you the mission wouldn't know for a while if you sold their package or if was destroyed by pirates - but would know if their contact on the other end didn't get the delivery by the specified time. And that would be when rep is affected.

Destroying definitely wouldn't affect rep. But selling it sometimes affects it. It depends on how discreet your fence is.

That makes no sense to me. Does word not get back to the mission contact that their package didn't make it? In every movie I've ever seen there are reprecussions if product mysteriously disappears - no matter what the excuse. I can understand a decreased loss of rep if they believe that it went missing in the desert, but still...
