The food+drink daemon is now up and running; you will be charged every Friday morning for each character. The cost in Somerset at the moment is $44 per character per week. This may fluctuate as piracy etc. starts to kick in.

There's also a new 'weekly financial report' on your 'My Gang' page. This is reset every Friday morning and details your income & expenses for the week.

While I can understand and appreciate having an economic model that accounts for your gang member?s requirements I wonder if it is valid to turn it on at this point.

My main concern is those of us with a job and families have a hard time being available for the races that pay and due to the amount of skill involved probably a hard time making money racing even when we get to the race.

If there were other options for making money available that individual players could perform that were not on a set schedule then the casual player (such as my self) would be able to make enough money to keep my gang going and maybe make a little profit. As it stands now my gang is losing money, and I haven?t been able to participate in any money making events. Even if I did play in these races I doubt I would do very well since I have yet to come close to winning even the practice races.

My suggestion is, that until there are other ways to make money in game it might be best not to start charging for gang upkeep.

Yeah, could be a point. What does anyone else think?

I'm hoping to have purely combat leagues running in the next few weeks, and these will typically involve a one-on-one combat with some other gang each week. When you are up against a computer gang, you will be able to play out the combat whenever suits you during the week. That should suit you better?

By the way, those practice quick events are hard to win because you always start from the back of the grid. The one-off races with prizes have randomized grids, while the league races have qualifiers so you can get yourself a very good starting position without too much trouble..
