Hello, I have played for awhile but this is my first time posting. I have about 7,000 dollars right now but how much money should I earn before I subscribe so I can go scouting with a decent car? I would also appreciate if you would post suggestions for my car design. Thanks for this awesome game! I can't wait to subscribe and help this game grow! I'll make sure to tell my friends.

I'd say around 20k so you'll have some left over after buying a decent car. Also keep in mind you could get money faster because of higher veteran subscriber bonuses if you'd subscribe now.

Some general guidelines I can think for vehicle design would be: don't go easy on armor, don't bother with class A armor at all unless you're building a racer, which isn't wise for your first car. Don't get one of the cheap/small chassis (mainly Alpha/Racoon/Marley). Try to get at least 2 ranged weapons on it and still have room for at least 2 people in the car and don't forget to put some ammo for reloading into the car when it's done.

scouting solo is suicide btw...don't be too quick to jump in to that, you'll just die and go broke.....

better still is to buy a marley or alpha or symph and beef it up for the professional events where u should make some decent coin...then build up an arena car where u can make even more cash....when u have a few decent combat cars in your garage then yer ready to scout....

Or if you have just one combat car, join up with other players.

And never go out of town without a decent scout. They help minimise the odds against you.

Did My first scout mission -
Dropped weapons aint much help as they are easy to avoid.
I went in alone with 2 vehicles ( 1X chomp , 1X Pickup ) HMG and RL front facing on both.
Intially I ran to split up the enemy 4 cars - I was terrified  .

They kept crashing down hills and into each other (sand is hell, AI hates it ).
I grew brave coz they where all small sedans or compacts .
The first one I killed in 2 rounds .
By the time I had gone back to the others they were crashed and all surrendered .

I made about $18 K and I had to leave one car behind  ( no spare drive)

Next car i would have built would be a crew bus to carry 3 spare people to drive cars home...........

BUT THEN THIS HAPPENED ----------------------

http://www.dark-wind.com/forums2/index.php?a=topic&t=1298

I am rebuilding from one broken sedan at $7K now

Good Luck and buddie up the first 2 times 'out' and you will get enough cash to get real tough fighting APCs .

Coco out.
