Jansan leaned back in his chair, sipping at a glass of murky red wine, closing his eyes.

The five-foot-six, pale, lithe young man appeared to be in his mid 20's. His hair was jet black and reached his mid-back, tied back in a ponytail. His features were very delicate, and his visage seemed out of place in the dusty tavern. His long, calf-length black leather coat hung off the back of the chair. His torso was clad in a thin, mostly unbuttoned ebony silk shirt, and fitting black leather pants and boots adorned his lower body. Gleaming silver rings lined his fingers, and matching earrings lined his right ear. His left ear supported a thin silver chain earring with a tiny diamond at the end.

Jansan slowly opened his eyes as he heard someone enter the bar. Sitting up, he glanced at her, confirming it was the individual he was waiting for.

She was a tall, muscular woman with short black hair in a pixie-cut and smoke gray eyes. Her body was clad in a pair of urban camoflauge pants, combat boots, and a black longsleeve shirt. Her hands were covered in plated leather gloves.

As she joined Jansan at his table, the man placed his glass down and leaned forward. "Hey Lilith," Jansan said easily, smiling a little. "How'd that run with Pestilence go?"

Lilith planted her feet on the table, crossing her legs, and tipped her chair back. "Good. They've got some skilled fighters. Their goals seem to be in line with ours as well, since they refuse to attack traders."

Jansan nods absently. "Right."

Lilith frowns at him. "There is nothing you can do about it. This is a dangerous job. We all volunteered because we agreed with your goal. Everyone in the Knights knows we could die at anytime. But you know what? It's worth it."

Jansan doesn't say anything, brushing some of his loose-hanging bangs from his eyes and folding his arms on the table. He lays his chin on top shortly after.

"You're a leader," Lilith continued. "I'll miss him too, dearly, but he died for something he believed in. You can't take every death personally."

"I can't help it," Jansan replied. "I wish I could have been there to help."

Lilith sighs. "You leave it to me, you understand? You know how to use a quarterstaff and a handgun, and you're very charismatic. But you're not really that good at vehicle combat, to be honest."

"I know," Jansan replies, glancing out the window. "I'll be alright. Let's get down to business." He turns back to her.

"I just got word from Minnow that the Hyenas and the Ninjas are preparing an ambush right now for the first convy that comes along. I asked you here, obviously, to take care of that problem. Take Ego, Sliver, and Flay. If you can get any of the other like-minded gangs to help, feel free. Otherwise, it'll just be you guys," Jansan finishes.

"No problem." Lilith smirks. "We'll take Heretic. That old tank should be enough. Well, maybe one more. Can I borrow Incubus?"

Jansan groans. "Fine. Don't chip the paint this time. Or put large bullet holes in it. I just got it fixed." He tosses his keys to her.

Lilith catches them easily, and nearly leaps up from her chair. "I promise. It'll be fine, this time," she says with a grin.
