though as pointed out by rokkitz what happens if you lose last car.... maybe a basic hire option should be there, though myself i would rather not see hmgs cr versions

i used to just run two twin mg phoes and could earn a mint doing so

There was a lot of luck involved in that event, the first AI car to get within range spent 10 turns on a hillside because it couldnt  figure out that sandy hills make you slide, and then, even when outnumbering you 2 - 1 the AI together spent 90% of the actual dogfight both facing away from you. You must also have been near out of ammo by the end by my count.

I'm just saying, go do more than 1 scout before you think everything is nailed down, I won my first 3 scouts, then my 4th duo with tinker went to hell.

But there is one think that irks me the most here is that that you say "Since I won it's not hard enough". What should be said is "It was hard but I managed to win". Either you are saying you think you're a bad player or you WANT to lose... and wanting to lose makes no sense.

I want to win, yet I've lost 3/12 scouts on count so far (and a car or two on returns), this is much higher than the ratio of lost vehicles I had when I was a rookie in SS, so something must be harder.

But basically, there is no way you can judge everything from a single event.

ff we also have our ordinary dw experience..do we not

That scout felt no different to any other easy won DW scout...i want challenge i want to have to think...do i need to run now...not oh one more hmg hit and their toast

gaining two vehicles in one scout doesn't feel very scavenger to me....

I said ill wait for others to chime in their thoughts, maybe you should as well

Can confirm that FF looted a rifle and rifle ammo in our duo today. Also, I am seeing plenty of ammo, so thinks seems to be working. However, I would love to see some ped ammo and some more ped weapons. Increase of pistol and shotgun ammo would suffice I think. Right now im considering stripping some gangers to equip others with several pistols/shotguns... This is not the way to go.

Perhaps adding a few ammo clips in the starter pack would be a good idea?

Sure, but I'll say this...

scavanger - a person who collects things discarded by others

By definition, a scavenger is a person who collects a lot of junk and makes what he can out of it, it actually makes a lot of sense for me to loot a lot of stuff, but go take a look at the vehicles, in their current state how "Combat worthy" are they?

Half of the 12 or so chassis I've acquired over the last days have less than 50% chassi health... they would be completely inoperable in a firefight, this is the kind of loot we can regularly expect, among broken weapons and alike.

So a scavenger can expect quantity over quality, so to say.
