Sorry you misunderstand my poorly worded paragraph. I don't think winning ANY race is easy or boring. I was saying its easy to get people to show up when you give away Fame as a prize.

Races seem kinda random to me, even with players who are very good it only takes a little bad luck and they're out of the running. I am very impressed with anyone who can win a racing league. I am not good at racing, I haven't put in the hours necessary and would rather do combats than race. I fully support fame rewards for leagues.

My comment about too many rewards was aimed squarely at giving out fame for Pro events, not league events.

If I remember rightly Pro events gives your gang a good fame/rep boost - when I was doing quite few pro events my gang always had a higher rep.

But doesn't do anything for camp fame.

I agree with Joel on all of this. Fame implementation was something players wanted worked into leagues well before my time here. It took additional discussions with Joel and PA and meetings with Sam to get this pushed through.

The first "Test" league hasn't even finished yet and there is talk on how to get more fame?? Camp fame prizes were not implemented to be low hanging fruit or to be considered like a grade school participation trophies. Due to their value, they had to be earned. Not everyone or their represented camp will earn a fame prizes in these leagues, but everyone will still have a chance. There will be 9 leagues and 27 prize slots starting next season.

Now, because fame prizes are now available, it will now increase PVP where it has been lacking in participation for some time now. These leagues are truly the most fun and challenging to play.

It is also safe to say that there will not be any changes or additions to camp fame prizes until the end of next season. At that time, we will review the leagues as a whole with the collective group, then determine if adjustments are necessary. All players views and opinions will be welcomed and taken into consideration too, but please do so after some of these upcoming leagues have been completed.

Looks like NO Fame for any of the leagues except the ones most people cant even play due to having jobs.

No fame for Race League
No fame for Combat League
No fame for Deathrace League
No fame for Paintball
No fame for Ped combat 1
No Fame for Ped combat 2
No fame for GW Ped

Only leagues that offer fame are the ones scheduled right in the middle of the work day (at least for those of us in the States). Suffice to say this is exactly what I hoped would NOT happen. I was looking forward to some competition rather than the same people who win the minors over and over just farming fame.

COE 1, COE 2, COE 3 all have fame added for prizes. Oh, and they are all during the weekend too. So, if you are really looking for competition, I am pretty sure you will find it there.

I didn't look at those. That's good. Although there is ALWAYS competition there anyway since that's where grudges tend to be resolved. Thanks for that info.

I also have a thought rolling around in my head about how the prizes should work. that will follow when I have time to type. Welders are coming to do work tonght so I will have 2-4 hours ill be stuck at work while they do their thing and I cant go home. So Ill post then.

Won the Elmsfield Summer Classic League and received camp production boost 0.05 for camp 1015

Hmm weird so this kicks in next season? Or should it be now. I have a 2.4% prod boost now ( but that could be from scl ..possibly...)

If it kicked in now I should have at least 15% (sS DR league and elms classic)

Thanks for the info. All fame and production boosts are supposed to kick in at the beginning of the next game year. I as far as I know, no fame prizes have been applied. With this being a production boost issue, like when others earned are applied immediately, this could be the cause. I will make Sam aware of the issue to check it.
