Camps combats are now live with this patch. I have attached some information tags to various items on the camp 'wars' page, which I'll fill in now.

Most of the information you'll need came up in the previous thread in the announcements forum.

Some additional specifics:

1. The CR of the attacking squad in a pvp attack is limited by the camp they're attacking: no more than (defending camp fame * 2.5) CR
2. Gangs have been increased by 5 characters, for everyone.
3. Squads have been increased by 3 (to 13) for everyone
4. Bounties can still be paid in camp-attack combats, but the cost of them is increased by 100% for each 500 fame of their camp. The camp also loses a little fame, but obviously since it's a truce there are no 'camp looting' implications
5. From tonight's update, all camps have doubled production and extraction capacities, and 'open pvp' camps have quadrupled capacities plus 25% MR boost.
6. All camp (full) members now have an option to receive an email whenever an attack is scheduled on the camp. Attacks are always scheduled between 24 and 48 hours in the future.

I'll set it up so I receive an email whenever a camp combat happens, for the moment, to make sure I check on the balancing carefully..

"All camps have doubled production."
I dont see this when I click on the factories. It means whatever camp is making, it will be made in 1/2 the time if open 24/7?

Sorry, I can see how this was ambiguous at best. I meant "from the regular scheduled camps update at midnight tonight", not "from this current patch"

Yes. But this won't be visible until after the midnight update.

Sam-
I thought it kinda odd the CR attacking Groton is 300-400 more than what is attacking Southern Pride. Shouldnt the small camps have a smaller attack vs them? Dunno, just thought it kinda weird.

I guess I will know for sure after the first combat, but I dont know if we will have the MR points to repair after the camp combat

I am unable to create any additional squads (over 10)

The CR of the attack is based mostly on the strength of the NPC gang making the attack, and also on a large random factor.

Do the attacks seem a bit large? (CR 1749 and 1392) - I guess as long as they're not too often it's probably ok. I'll keep a close eye.

I expected something alot smaller for the smaller camps. Im concerned the 800+ MR may not be enough for repairs, but wont know for sure until after the attack. Then again, I have low end mechs there, but some of the other small camps have a MR smaller than Grotons. I guess it depends how many times a week these attacks can occur.

It shouldn't be more than once per 2 weeks or so, on average.
But I'll probably factor the camp's size into the calculation of the NPC's CR too, that seems reasonable.

Question. Longo is camp owner... He has a squad in place for us to join. How do we know what max CR is for us?

Not sure if it is possible but there needs to be some way of figuring what can be added to squad for defense.

For instance... Lets say 1500 CR is attacking us...Longo assigns the defending squad to the event. Then we start adding to the squad until we get a message that states... "Your squad has to much Combat Rating for this event"

It's not actually done that way. Any camp full-member can see what the max CR is from the camp's info page (I'll make it more obvious there), but once a squad has been assigned for the defence it cannot be modified in any way. It needs to be set up before being assigned.

Longo has set up the squad and we have joined...he cant be here... so it spawns automatically?

The combat will spawn automatically, yeah. (Barring the unlikely event of a coding error, hrmm..) Longo simply has to register the squad to the event.
Quote:

Longo says that once he assigns the squad no one else can join?

Why is this and can people withdraw after joining and assigned...that would really screw up the combat?

The squad can't be modified at all after it has been assigned. This was partly because of simpler coding, and partly to avoid possible problems if it were modifiable, such as people withdrawing their vehicles.

That sounds good. I just didnt want camp defense to turn into a job rather than a game.  :D

I would suggest that camp attacks be based on the fame of camp...the more famous the more often they are attacked...

Fame...and size of course

By size, I hope you mean current upkeep rating....

Question, if I bring vehicles to camp and gunners and pool them all, will the squad leader be able to use them, and if i can make it, can i take control of my cars back?
