I've spent the last day or so going thru a load of the minor items that have come up. The current patch covers the following things (and possibly a few more I can't remember):

1. The bugs should be gone when you enter a 2nd looting phase without restarting client (no loot hanging around from previous sessions)
2. The full 6 max characters per vehicle are now visible and usable
3. Reloading weapons can now be done (assuming you have the right type of ammo in your cargo). It takes 10 turns; only possible by a non-driver unless the vehicle is moving less than 10mph. I was intending to make this only allowable in the wilderness but there's no reason not to allow reloading in arenas and deathraces too (stock cars won't have any ammo in of course).
4. The F6 key to show which cars are surrendered should be ok now (wilderness) or to show current score (arena combats)
5. The M key switches between the move and manage windows for your selected vehicle
6. The < and > keys allow you to cycle thru your vehicles
7. I added the long overdue ?stop firing? commands into your car?s hover-over menu, so you don?t need to dig into the manage GUI to stop shooting a particular weapon
8. I think I have found the music playing bug (where it cuts in and out against your wishes). If you could keep an eye/ear on this for me and report anything untoward.. :-)
9. Alt-p schedules a ?screenshot sequence? to be taken (thanks for the idea speed). Shots are taken 5 times per second during the movement and firing phases (it can end up as a lot of shots if there?s a lot of firing). Another funky idea that occurred to me is to set the move to run in slow motion on demand (would that be useful at all?)
10. Shift-p removes vehicle messages, the chat HUD and the timer from the screen, takes a screenshot, and then replaces the stuff it removed. So there's now 3 distinct screenshot possibilities, controlled by shift-p, alt-p, and ctrl-p

:p

Thank you so much master!

Just a quick note: french keyboard layout have '<' and '>' on the same key (second one is activated with 'shift').

Would you prefer some alternative keys to < and > ?, I guess < and shift-< isn't too bad.

Nah, should be ok for me; just to let you know "azerty" keyboard users could sue you for that  ;)

what does happen, presumably you see the 'screenshot sequence scheduled' message? Or does alt not work on the Mac?

BTW just started work on the interactive map that will be used on the website for setting travel orders:

Scrolly map thing here

Right, must be that ALT doesn't work at all then, it thinks you're just pressing P.

scrolly map would be nice to have click drag like google maps (and maybe zoom) :)

Posted Mar 16, 2007, 8:19 pm
yeah, there's probably going to be 4 levels of zoom. Drag would be ncie, but does javascript have any appropriate mouse events for doing it?

sure it does (that's how google maps works) - google maps is entirely ajax (javascript)

Looked all over my mac keyboard...No (alt)...
Then figured out it's the (apple) key.

It works fine... It also cancels the sequence if hit again.

Music seems to works seamlessly also Sam. Although if I turn the music down so as not to disturb my neighbors, I can't hear the guns firing.
I know, Options will adjust music volume. I have since done that, and lowered the music volume.

There is an 'alt' key on the Mac. It is also called 'option'.
It's the one with the strange little symbol, hmmm, let describe it as a flat 'z' with a second line over the lower one.
It's in general located between the 'apple' (command) and 'shift' keys on both sides of the spacebar.

Hope it helps.

It was a long time I had not tested the game  :( 10 days.

This, is not working on Azerty (French) keyboard, as the 's' is already bound to be the console window, so none of this is working at all.
I apologize in the name of the French people.  ;)

Dunno if it have been already said, but for me the screenshot sequence is Command + p, and not alt + p (if it's that :P)
