Howdy!
I haven't paid much attention to my people's skills over the last few months. I was too busy learning how to drive and fight and acquire cars. Looking over my list, it has become obvious that a few of them are serious slackers. Now, when hired they showed potential... one was 20 in cycles for example. She's the sixth person on my list, but only has 27 in Cycles now! She ain't learning! So I'm guessing having a high score in something on hire does not mean they can learn it easily. I have one of my first three gangers, a driver, and he still doesn't have 50 in it! My next concern: Do all characters have a talent? I have a guy or two that cant seem to pick up ANYTHING quickly...and one is on a training-enhancing drug! |

No doc, some will never show any potential, they are Dirty Liars (TM)...

If you're keeping them in Elmsfield (only good for first aid) or a town without a training centre they'll level skills a bit slower.
I'm convinced there's talentless gang members out there. There's also a mystic hidden parameter called "training form" which affects training, but I don't know much more about it... |

Stick'em in non-league death races and make 'em earn 'til they die. They might survive long enough to learn a useful skill as there aren't many bikes about!

There is another very important factor in training that a lot of people seem to miss: characters have a current 'training form' that fluctuates over a period of several weeks or even months. Sometimes a character might get stuck in a rut but that doesn't mean they won't come out of it and start training well again.
