isn't this going to be confusing since there already is a game named wow?
World of Warcraft was officially released online in North America on November 23, 2004. Theres also a game called DarkWind which is a text based fantasy MUD thats been in development since 1992

and is this a start over? lol

It's a start-over yep. Change of focus from persistent-world to player-run leagues, plus a single-player campaign.

Nice B)

What's with the AI in the escort scene? They all seem to be following a neat, designated path.

In the trailer video? That "realtime driving" stuff will only be used for cutscenes, like when you arrive to a town.

I guess it will be out on GoG and/or consoles a while after Steam.

Any word on minimum system requirements? Or, is that part of what needs to be determined with the beta testing? I assume, this will be the minimal baseline

Operating System: Windows 7 (SP1+) or newer (64-bit), macOS 10.12.6+ (Sierra), or Ubuntu 20.04+ (64-bit).

CPU: X64 architecture with SSE2 instruction set support (e.g., Intel Core i3 or equivalent).

RAM: 4 GB, though 8 GB is strongly recommended for a better experience.

Graphics: A GPU capable of DirectX 10, 11, or 12 (Windows), Metal (macOS), or OpenGL 3.2+/Vulkan (Linux).

Integrated graphics: ???

Would be cool if it can run on a AM4 3000G with vega 3 graphics, but i doubt that :)

Usually, reducing the resolution helps a lot so hopefully it will run on a weaker machine at say 1024x768

It's on a new game engine so yes, Silicon is supported.

I'm super happy to hear that. I came back to this game after several years (coincidentally on an M-series Mac) because I heard about a new, single player friendly Darkwind experience. I'm immediately reminded how much I enjoy this setting and game experience. Super excited for the new chapter!

So WoW won't have any persistent world features? No camps etc?

Will Dark-wind still be running?

That's correct, WoW won't have a persistent world.

DW will continue running.

So, now for the question on everyone's mind, will WoW ever be able to be used as the client for DW?

WoW is World of Warcraft, a massively successful MMORPG. I still think you are making a massive mistake calling this by the same acronym. it will cause confusion, then it will cause a public backlash on steam to boycott DW2, and suffer lawsuits.

"WoW" is a registered trademark owned by Blizzard Entertainment

It is highly risky and likely to result in legal action from Blizzard Entertainment if you use "WoW" or "War on Wheels" as it suggests a connection to World of Warcraft. Blizzard actively protects its intellectual property, specifically targeting projects that use their branding or assets.

Does this mean the Nuns sauna services are no longer available to the repenting public?

No more persistent world equals no more camps? The markets depend upon weapons that are created there.
