Fealty Lost Posted Sep 22, 2024, 1:37 am	There are many of us who don't own camps and don't want to own camps, for whom the whole 'influence' thing is a waste of time. Back in the good old days, if you got bounties, you would get some goody or two in the town garage. Bring that back. But make it so the more bounties you get from a single encounter scales up on quality and rareness. So, if you get under 10, weapon or motor or vehicle considered unusual for that town. You score 20-40, in one encounter, there should be a larger reward. And since nobody does PVP, it doesn't matter what someone else gets. PVP was a stupid addition to the game, except the 'oldies' cried for it, so Sam capitulated. Then they whined for camps and got those. And only a few people whose entire online life is DW, own them or do anything with them, but, again, the oldies whined and got what they wanted. I'm an oldie. I only had the one thing. Bring it back. The coding wouldn't even be that difficult. 15 minutes of work. I know it'll never happen, and even before you say anything, piss off Ranx.
PvtParty Posted Sep 22, 2024, 7:36 am	Hero Point "rewards" still exist, from what I've seen... snagged a few buzzers that way, and a couple of fast scouts too, over the past few months.

The “quality” of rares for Hero Points is based upon the towns, where the best rares will be found in NPC shops in BL, FL, and occasionally in Texan and Sarsfield. It appears your entire gang is in GW… you will see rares there also, but the quality will not be as good as the other towns I have mentioned. You will see BPUs, maybe an occasional tanker, 32V8s, 8Ls, 7Ls, and maybe some ATGs/CCs or maybe a HCR once in a while.

RANXEROX Posted Oct 16, 2024, 3:33 pm	Since last Thursday, I have gotten a v8 engine, 2 heavy gats, and a buzzer with hero points. You have to be quick to grab them as soon as they drop before someone else grabs them. There is one bug with hero point items though, the + doesn't always show up next to the item

If nobody grabs the hero point item after a period of time, it becomes available without hero points.

I run 2-3 megas a day (used to) and constantly get 20-30 bounties against high-rated gangs and find... nothing, in the shops. EVER. I'll wait until the top of the hour plus one, then turn in my HPs, then spend the next hour constantly refreshing the shops and... nothing. EVER. No cars, no engines, no weapons... nothing. Since the game hates my play-style, moving further south than GW is just suicide. Not for the scout battles, but the travels on these 'new' maps that were designed for the way the game wants you to play. I suppose I could run individual vehicles in travels south, but the thought of 19-20 individual scouts is nauseating. And no way to get a Lorry through by itself, so I'd have to have escorts, the points value goes up and eventually I'll get one of those rocky, climbing maps in which my Lorry will be slaughtered as it tries to climb out of danger and there goes a couple Tank Guns. It's inevitable. So, not worth trying. Plus, with the ridiculous death of my lead scout, I've now only got a 30-ish replacement. Not worth it. And I don't mind picking up 'regular' weapons and what not for rewards: don't need Buzzers or other rare vehicles. Never saw any use for anything but Buzzers: know I'm not going to ever see an FE and don't need one. But I see nothing in the shops, even when handing in over 20 bounties a scout, two, three times a day. Zip. Nada. Nothing. Oh well. It is what it is.
PvtParty Posted Nov 12, 2024, 11:01 pm	Not sure what I'm doing different, but just picked up a Windsor I in BL on HPs, and it even allowed me to install a V8 during the build process (and buy an additional V8 straight after). Oh, and I still have HPs left over... Then again, I don't see anything in Elms on HPs... maybe the HP level required there is just ridiculously high or availability of decent kit so rare...
