Field training boost in multiplayer events

I have just added a substantial field-training boost for all multiplayer events.

The boost is based on the number of veteran subscribers active in the event.  The reason for requiring veteran subscribers is to avoid players cheating the system with fake gangs.

Let me know how the boosts look when you've tried it. They should be noticeable. The calculation isn't linear (so the difference between 3 and 2 is not the same as the difference between 2 and 1). To be exact, it uses a Power function with exponent 0.6

Players  Multiplier
1          1
2          1.5
3          1.9
4          2.3
5          2.6
6          2.9

Thanks again to 80s for suggesting this.

(Note: as always, field training doesn't happen at all in ladder, paintball, or custom events - to avoid exploits)

Is this for every town?

Am I correct in thinking that there is already a skill gains multiplyer south of Gateway?

If so- would that stack?

Every town, every event (apart from ladder, paintball, or custom events) including Scavenger. Yes it stacks with other multipliers.

Can you define what a Veteran player is in strictly game-mechanic terms?

It's after you've done a certain number of scouts. I don't recall how many.. 5? 20?  Basically everyone who isn't brand new.

have to have some way to prevent multiple players joining a scout then dropping out and letting one player take over control of all the cars getting the bonus for themselves and the other players without the other players playing...

one player could get all the bonuses for all the other players

players have to be in the scout actively playing and remain in the scout to get the bonus

Maybe this threshold should be lifted...from memory I barely knew the basic controls b4 i was considered to be veteran....

..what does F4 do again?  :rolleyes:
