could we make a rule that camp owners in the camp wars must have their gang pvp open. sits back and watches all the excuses as to why people think this is unfair. THIS IS DARKWIND not the kiddie pool turn it on or get out of camp wars imo.
if it were up to me it would also include every camp member belonging to a camp in the new camp wars. |

Might I re-suggest you cannot enter a DR event or Combat event without being PvP open as well. It's ridiculous. |

Joel - so in combats or DRs(peeps should know I don’t do a lot) people can’t be shot if their flag isn’t on ? If this is the case, total BS. As for the flags and camp wars, a lot of trash talking by people with their flags off. If your gonna talk it, then you shouldn’t be able to hide behind the carebear flag. |

They can be shot. But my opinion is , you are PvP or PvE.
Yes in particular because of the B.S talk people are allowed to do, including naming gangers after other players with mockery and insults in the lobby in discord and wherever they feel like. Marshals in fact, violating the rules of conduct. It is simply never policed (nor could Sam police it frankly). So yeah PvP or NOT. A PvE Player hurling insults can be safely ignored, because they are quite irrelevant. |

Excuse? You're wanting ways for more people to pvp, why would they choose to knowing the wolves are just waiting to pounce with 10+ specced dudes vs their 1, atleast you acknowledge you want a turkey shoot I guess.
I'm not opposed to seal clubbing being an eve veteran but you don't encourage people to participate without giving them an incentive or a chance, you just whine into the ether as they continue to say no thanks not worth. Whats wrong with maching ganger skill btw, scared it'll highlight some shortcomings or something? |

Trying to make PvP 100% balanced is unachievable and frankly undesirable. If you want a perfectly balanced pvp experience go play chess or Dota or sm. This is meant to be a sandbox mmo not FarmVille
It’s funny because almost every player who pvp’s is actualy extremely reasonable - I’ve got intercepted a few times now and every time the player who did it has sold back my cars and respected resigns. But most of the complainers wouldn’t know that cuz they’ve never tried it. No matter - camp pvp will give them a chance to show up or shut up |

How about if they just don't want to PvP. I like having access to camps for repairs, but would leave in a heartbeat if it meant I was PvP open automatically.
(And I am very grateful to those camps that let me join and make minor repairs in return for minor contributions) |

I think the game is in a pretty good position for pro/anti pvp players at this point. We have a bunch of different types of event, allowing players to go full pvp, limited pvp, or no pvp at all. I don't see a need to force camp war participants to open pvp elsewhere- to me, it's another variation of limited pvp which I hope will suit many players and let them have fun. Forcing them to open pvp in other parts of the game would be pushing many away from this new game mode.
I'm looking forward to some awesome and legendary battles happening under this new feature. Two big multiplayer squads trying to outwit each other, tactics playing out through creative vehicle builds. Outflanking, outgunning, outmaneuvering. All with safety mechanisms such as the 201 turn limit and immediate ganger escape. I honestly can't see why everyone isn't excited to try this. |

I think immediate ganger escape is brilliant!
Mad Mike and myself have met a couple times now at SS gates by chance, our gentleman's agreement is to each escape into town with demo'ed vehicles to protect gangers and avoid having return vehicles. Not having the risk of losing months of work in a ganger makes PvP actually enjoyable, as Sam says, then it can be come about "Outflanking, outgunning, outmaneuvering", rather than just protecting our assets. |

I haven't done a ton of PVP,but everytime I have, resigns were respected and I got my stuff back.
The key to that is not being a dick. If you're not a dick,people want to PLAY against you,not just red your gangers. See, the big PVP proponents WANT MORE PVP. They aren't gonna get that if they just wipe everybody out, and they KNOW THAT. (Well, Darth may be the exception....hahahaaaa) So, it's really kinda simple- Don't be an ass,and no one will WANT to kill off your gang. "But V, *YOUR* PVP flag isn't on!!!!" Correct. And I'd LIKE to PUT IT ON,but... Being a marshal and taking new folks out with a PVP flag on is a PITA. If you get intercepted, ya either gotta fight it out, which is a *huge* timesuck with new folks, or it gets truced, which puts their gangers out of play until they return, with absolutely NOTHING gained. No loot, hell, they don't even get to PLAY the game. Which I can see being a HUGE turnoff for newer folks learning the ropes. I'd ideally like marshals to have the option to have a special squad or three that are designated nonPVP so our gangs can BE PVP flagged, but still be able to run the new folks out to scout without having the problems I mentioned above. |

I'm a bit hesitant to take new players out now, as I'm in the top 3 most hated men in Evan at present due to playing the game correctly and doing things that everyone else does but being flagged as bad, but that is another topic for discussion. I did take Hiturunk out and we got intercepted. I felt bad, but asked him if he wanted to fight. He excitedly said "Yes" but others wouldnt have been so excited. Unfortunately the other team feared Hit and asked for a truce.

More I think about it, this school squad could be abused more than benefit. How many instances have there been where a marshal was mentoring new players in SS and they were attacked and slaughtered by a vet?

maybe since marshals get 5 extra guys they should get a squad like that so they can use those guys in ss to train new guys, if they want to risk pvp they could use a diffrent squad, some of the funnest pvp i ever did was vs marshal lugal when he took out new guys

Longo, newbs getting slaughtered isn't one of my concerns.
The chances of that happening are seriously remote. Now, the two things I brought up? Those are things I HAVE had to deal with in the past month or so. I guess I could see it being abused...but I tend to think more highly of the *fraternal order of marshals* to really see that being a problem. And if it ever did, I'm betting Sam would sort that sorry bit of business out with a quickness, ya know? |

So when do we get access to the NPC mercenaries? We were told we would get mercs for the camp pvp wars and the combats should be starting soon. How will that work anyhow, when NPC do not have a drivers license? | ||||

Not implemented yet. I've done a huge amount of work on this over the last few weeks and things have to be done in sequence. They should be ready for the battle week after the one we're getting to soon. You'll control them. They're basically temporary gang members. |

Joel if you have a grudge make sure u do it ...red there gang members when u get chance too. they did that to me as well started naming gang members after me (cruel games so i started killing them and hurting them to point they was like omg went running to sam for sam to message me telling me i was in wrong (this is after x man took me out on a scout shot me killed my gangers) krakhead took me out on a morgan defence but i knew it was coming (still tho not like i could join the raiders was silly i think personaly cuz of that i should be able to join the raiders and i get something special in the loot and my lock up doesnt get touched everybody elses touched by my hands (3 random items of there's) (if i win the attack on morgan) but that wont happen. and i dont think morgan defences are the places to be attacking players but again i was in the wrong. they called me asslee which is well immature.(like grow up). they started flauting my defeats at me and started joining my events laughing when i took damage...(and not once have i ran to sam crying about it) need to grow some tougher skin. also had spencer attacking me on scouts to point i was basicly excluded from them cuz of x man and spencer running them all the time. then tryed to say i isolated myself. Shurg's what im gonna do is keep my head down. (one day) u should do same looking at ur gang u been battered recently and they want ur psi dead maybe its time u turned ur pvp flag off.. camps wars way they are at momment sure when i get involved in one ill have more to say. (just see how it pans out for now why demand something so silly its a joke pvp on for camp wars? why? its a risk some might not want to take myself included. my first camp is in no way shape or form getting involved in camp wars. i want my safe zone. my carebear zone. but the name calling is silly and a joke. i mean when i start name calling admins 118 on top of it quick to mute but people can sit doing ^^^^^ Read above...and they all kiss bum cheeks...unbelivuble. |

I got a couple pennies so thought I would toss'm in... First off, the marshal thing, absolutely... I get taking out new players needs to be a thing... Second... PvP camp owner needs PvP open for the gang... sure... why not... HERE is my worry... I have looked at the map and as it stands I don't see reason to be hunting ppl except as twatery... so WITH this in mind may I propose a HELL of programming for Sam... PvP be ONLY required by camp owners in their vein of control... IE I have an open PvP camp in SS, then my SS crews must be PVP, but as we have no INFLUENCE OR INTEREST in SF, I'm safe to stay PvE there.... again... just droppin some ideas... ALSO, as it comes to events.... you guys have been way too nice for too long... if you're actually in conflict with someone, let them know... red a dude... just remember when someone reds your 10 spec kiddo it's all in the fun |
