I have finished putting core resources on the new hexmap, and have removed inactive camps.
The process of allowing one-off camp moves will now start. The list below was randomly generated, and gives 4 camps per day the chance to move next. Moves within that day will be first-come first-served. If you miss your date, you can still move as soon as you contact me after that date. If you do not move, I will make sure the tile you're on currently does not lose any of your current resources (and of course, if there's resources indicated that you don't currently have, then you will gain those). If you do move, you get only what's in the tile you move to. There will be more rare resources added to various tiles later, as discussed in other threads. Moves must stay within the same region of Evan (e.g. a Southern Plateau camp can't move to SS). If you move closer/further from your main town, you may be given a refund or may have a fee to pay, based on the original camp costs. To do your move, please PM me the hextile reference you're moving to and the one you're moving from, along with the camp name. We may need to discuss costs. Please put all other questions in this thread, so others can see answers. You can of course start to discuss your move with me prior to your date. Camps are not allowed to locate on a road, town, or village. Any uniquely named tile (e.g. the Beacon) is also not allowed - but non-uniquely named ones (e.g the Boneyard) are fine. Other ones which are not allowed: Northern Farm tiles. These ARE allowed: Oasis tiles. |

Picking last of all GW camps. Sigh.

You're in a pretty good spot already |
||||||||
*Longo* Posted Apr 12, 2020, 4:52 pm |
So we can stay put and nobody can "bump" us? |
||||||||
*sam* Posted Apr 12, 2020, 4:54 pm |
Yes. |
||||||||
*Longo* Posted Apr 12, 2020, 4:59 pm |
Cool. "Does the Humping Goblin dance" |

What do 'Strategy' mean on the map tiles?
How do this influence gameplay? |

can you claim a city? im next to shantyville, could i take over the tile shantyville is on?
*Awefense* Posted Apr 12, 2020, 5:33 pm |
You can't place your camp on a village so I would guess that cities are off limits too.
*Longo* Posted Apr 12, 2020, 5:51 pm |
This is correct, per our last meeting. |

I am inwardly happy that the mascot has become the Humping Goblin. |

These will give you CR points to deploy to tiles for defence or attack. Camp Fame will also give you CR for this. |

Your camp cannot be located on it, but you can take the tile yes. Same for villages and roads etc. |

I guess I shall wait for the Rules to be Posted to have a clear understanding how the new gameplay works. |
||||||||
*sam* Posted Apr 12, 2020, 9:29 pm |
A lot of it has been covered in the threads here. Any specific questions? |
||||||||
ShawnFireDragon coldmolasses@live.ca Posted Apr 12, 2020, 9:38 pm |
Nothing specific, but when it all is final will there be a posting of the rules all together? Right now the threads are stretched and a little vague in areas. Don't get me wrong, it all looks exciting. I may not agree with everything proposed, however I do like many things I see developing. I am sure we all would like it do be set out clearly in one place when things are final. Keep up the great work. |

Yeah, some of it is a bit vague right now. There's a road-map, and we've been hammering out the most important stuff.

What about camps in mountain hexes? Will they be unable to attack "any" hex?. I understand an exception will be made for this case.
But this will make some mountains hexes to be a strategic for camp placement so you can have access to both sides. |
||||||||
*sam* Posted Apr 20, 2020, 12:17 pm |
Yeah, good point. Mountains are pretty strategic then, if you place your camp on them then you can attack in either direction, which would not otherwise be possible. |

The camp moves are scheduled to finish tomorrow. A lot have not asked me to move, so if they have not done so by tomorrow I'm assuming they don't want to move. |
