Branching off the resources thread, Sam mentioned having new ped equipment like body armor. What sorts of items would be good for the peds?

mabye qaud RPG, as the name implies its a pack of RPGs strapped together and designed to fire 4 rockets at once, downsides could be the ped would require say 75 str and it was a bit inaccurate. aswell as hard to find. BUT it deals great damage if they all hit there target and makes your peds a threat to cars.
and since we have lasers for cars and wuulf brought up cybernetic prosthetics, lets continue that with laser rifles, downsides like its bigger brothers it needs to recharge and gets weaker the less energy it has, and isnt able to shoot ther smoke or paint either. and does half the damage compared to normal lasers. and again very hard to find. upsides the laser spec effects it like with its bigger brothers and makes your ped look like a storm trooper if they were actually able to hit |

Retro torso armor [cost: 1 scrap metal, 2 car parts. +5 str] retro helm [cost: 1 car part. +3 str] Retro arm-braces [cost: 1 car part. +2str] Allows your ped to move quicker (can be disabled by EMP) Movement enhancing torso [cost: 1 scrap metal, 2 electronic parts. +1 str. +5 spd] Movement enhancing shin gaurds [cost: 1 scrap metal, 3 electronic parts. +1 str. +10 spd] Movement enhancing arm-braces [cost: 1 scrap metal, 2 electronic parts. +1 str. +5 spd] i will add more as i think of more armour ideas |

car snorkle, or air tank, so you have more time underwater in the car or with ped, just swim to escape and watch out for sharks lol
speaking about sharks maybe a sea monster pops up in middle of another legendary gang contract hit like the one in morgan, spawned a large mutant bear once? |

Rivet Gun
Allows a mechanic with Jury Rigging to spend one Scrap Metal to repair/add armor to a car during a combat. They would have to stand between the car providing the scrap and the car getting repaired. Armor added this way 'falls off' at the end of the combat, so you're still vulnerable on a return encounter. You could make it have ammo as well, so that you could A.) Limit the amount any one character can repair. and B.) Use it as a weapon in a pinch. Welder Same concept as the rivet gun, but takes longer to repair, and the repairs last until the car is back in town. Just an idea to add more support roles to the game. |

Scrap armor is cool in theory, and in hollywood...
Anything not fitted right, and you're fighting IT. If you're hashing it together from scrap, it's gonna be bulky. Also, if it's thick enough to stop modern bullets, your Dex and Spd should take SERIOUS hits. Yep, I know, Ned Kelly did it.... Ned Kelly's only covered his torso and head, and it weighed something close to 100 lbs....he wasn't exactly running around in that get-up, or jumping in and out of cars. Now, modern style ballistic armor? Sure. All for it. I'd LOVE to see some sort of body armor for peds. Sorry, I get worked up about that. In the early 90's, for about 2 years, my sole source of income was making armor for folks in re-enactment groups. FIT. IS. EVERYTHING. I get it, it's just a game...but for me the scrap metal armor idea just makes me go "Oh....Um...that REEEEAAAAAALLY doesn't work like you think it does..." |
