I took out 8 characters and had them fire all 20 shots from a medium machine gun. Then had them reload the weapon and recorded the amount of turns it took each character to reload. S=Speed of the character G=Gunnery skill RR=Rapid reload spec and level if that character has it. N/A=That character does not have the rapid reload spec. T=Turns it took that character to reload the weapon. Character-1-S=153,G=63,RR=N/A--T=4 Character-2-S=136,G=21,RR=N/A--T=6 Character-3-S=29,G=156,RR=2--T=3 Character-4-S=1,G=92,RR=2--T=3 Character-5-S=43,G=206,RR=2--T=3 Character-6-S=35,G=154,RR=N/A--T=6 Character-7-S=74,G=352,RR=N/A-T=3 Character-8-S=26,G=20,RR=N/A---T=10 Looking at the results it clearly shows that: 1- If you don't have any weapon skill or the rapid reload spec, character speed decides how quickly you can reload the weapon. Speed-26 will take 10 turns, while a speed of 153 can drop that down to 4. Once you take the rapid reload spec, the characters speed becomes less of a factor as the spec takes over and gives the character a huge speed boost in reloading no matter how low their base speed is. 2- A character with high weapon skill (352), but does not have the rapid reload spec can reload the weapon as fast as a character with half the skill with rapid reload level 2. 3- The most surprising information is that rapid reload is very powerful concerning its effect on a characters speed. A character with a speed of 1(No that's not a typo) and rapid reload level 2 can load the weapon as quickly as a character with a speed of 43, rapid reload 2 and double the skill. Even as fast as a character with almost 4 times the skill without the rapid reload spec. Giving just 1 level of rapid reload can remove most of the negative effects a very slow character has when reloading.
