A brutal collision that should have never happened. With Chassis lifted to 125%, the racing tractor still drug on the uneven terrain. Looking at the screen shot, I was going thru the gate from left to right. The front end stuck into the ground and flipped me backwards right into Joel. The impact resulted in an instant double chassis fire! Only egos were injured in this event.
You can watch what little there was to this race to see just how poorly this chassis did on the FL terrain. (Event ID 463465) This is on the list to try and have the racing tractors removed from COE 3 competition. Or at least from towns that have rugged terrain. Racing challenges with different chassis are fun, but unrealistic chances of finishing a race due to a specific chassis type should never be possible. |

Doesn't work too well in Morgan as well...... if you remember
Very big +1 from me for this Also if we could get the sporty van removed from the list for the COE III |

I agree to both, Tractor and Van. But I think we are facing the wrong side of the problem. Imho, the problem lays within the maps, not the vehicles. Or you guys have forgotten how annoying it is to drive underwater in Elmsfield, the Oil lakes of Texan, the hills of Sarsfield or the mountains of Firelight?
JoniBoy Posted Sep 9, 2016, 4:30 pm |
Oh, and forgot about those polygonal holes on the top the hill in Sarsfield that stuck 3 out of 4 cars crossing it.

THAT is a special place that we have all visited.

Yes, but you do have a choice to drive around to the other side

I just watched the replay and was wondering if the Offensive driver 5 Joel had helped doing that mess. Is that skill working properly or, as some players say, it enhances the damage on both cars?

BAH! You're all wimps!
I remember a CoE3 race in sporty vans about 3 years ago over mountains. Approx 10 players started. some wrecked out, most gave up after an hour or so (including myself!) Eventually just one player remained- (and I can't remember who it was now), who literally spent all afternoon battling away on his own till he bagged those 20 points after hundreds of turns. Sometimes in sport- speed, and skill can be trumped by heart, determination, and refusal to ever, ever quit. (I think it was Sarge BTW?) |

Says the man who joins these leagues, yet never races in them! Hush your hole! And don't say you ain't got no time either... you got time to post, you got time to race! |

Thank you for saying this. I agree. Still both carrier van (flawed in that bottom arm take 1st damage in frontal hits) and semi(screwed chassis height) should be removed from rally racing. Carrier van should probably be removed from the game. My theory that off driver spec is messed up is further reinforced in my mind after this event, as Joni said. (it is applied to both cars) BTW we were both pretty much at full armour at collision. Certainly a lot of armour on our fronts. |

really the chassis models should just be fixed, or if that can't/won't be done then remove them. |
