For this year's festive event, I want to run a deathrace with timetrial qualifiers. I'm thinking flaming mooses on the Dirt Racing track. Any opinions? Prize might be a squad car.

Don't you mean Flaming Reindeer?

Sounds fun, if I'm about I'll be there

Count me in. There's nothing like roast moose. Yum!

Nothing more festive then Death!

Working all day Christmas Day. Off the rest of the weekend.

Count me in if the time of event permits!

How does 11.30pm on Dec 28th sound?
With a number of qualifying timetrials on the 26th, 27th and 28th

I guess skillcaps are probably a good idea too, although the weapons involved pretty much negates the usefulness of gunnery. So we could go for something reasonably high, like 120 ?

Assuming it's 11:30PM Game time, I'm in.

That is Monday and server time. North American side makes it at 3:30pm. That's just so everyone knows. I may be able to make it, but it would be a race day decision.

Would this be open for Scav gangs to compete? If not, could there be one added for Scavs?

I can create a special event badge for the winner as well.

Yeah, sure. They can compete in the same town events as normal gangs can't they? (this is a genuine question: I don't recall, but I *think* they can).

Also, it should be the impossible track with the jump in SS. Name escapes me. Because then it'll be twice as interesting!

11:30pm server - (minus) 8 hours is 3:30pm (PST) - (minus) 6 hours is 5:30pm (CST)

I thought all you ammo spreadsheet gurus would be better at math than that! I guess because we are dealing with absolutes here instead of made up cost analysis numbers

didn't Sam say 1130 server?  NOT 2330 ?

Oh, Nevermind,  I thought he said 11:30 Server

I see now he indicated PM and NOT "Server Time"

Which brings up the question:  Is Sam in the same timezone as Server Time?  I thought Server Time was GMT and Ireland was -1 GMT

Santa's Sleigh Ride 2019 Event. Everything has been approved. Details will be listed after a quick player response to the Date and Time of the Event.

Sunday December 29th at 0800 server time. Saturday the 28th at the same time is possible too. I need as many players to give their opinions if this will work or if another time slot will allow for better player participation. So pass the word around to others in the lobby.

Thanks in advance for your input.

P.S. Also, I need a head count. Please post if you plan to attend the event.

I think Dec 28th is the best date. As far as time goes.. Do we have statistics that show when most players are online historically? If so, I would recommend giving that time some consideration.

We sure do!

http://www.dark-wind.com/images/lobbyusers.png

I've been logging the number of players in the game every 30 minutes since August 2007. Here's the data summed up into 1-hour intervals. It looks like 10pm is the peak, historically.  But anything between 8pm and 4am is pretty close.
*sam*

Oh, this is cool too!  I graphed the average number of players in the lobby since 2007

http://www.dark-wind.com/images/lobby-users.png

I'm not sure what the early 2008 peak was. I knew 2019 was doing better than 2018.. nice to see it confirmed !
