i'm having trouble with the zipped game file. i downloaded the OSX version (which seems to be the same link for windows and linux) and once it's finished, get an error message when i try to unzip.

anyone else having trouble?

this is on friday, november 17th.

Joer,

I did not experience your problem at all. Each time it worked. Try the lastest version of Stuff Expander, I had problem once with a download and upgraded to version 11.
If you are still unsuccessful, I'll provide an alternate link.

Joer-

I just tested the archive and it should be OK. Well spotted about the downloads all being the same! In fact the archive has no game engine in it, only all the support scripts and media files. The first thing the lobby does is download the correct executable depending on your computer. It makes putting new archives together so much easier than it used to be...

Viking-

Thanks. It may be Joer's OSX version, I know 10.4 has .zip integrated as a system command whereas I think older versions used to have .sit instead? I'm not a Mac expert..

I test the current archive too and there are no troubles. Must come from your Mac Joer.

I strongly recommend upgrading Stuff Expander to 11, it's free.

@Sam: Apple switched to .zip format by default and no, it's integrated since Os X exists, about 6 years ago.
.sit were and are still used sometime, but this is legacy from Os 9 OS.

i'm know less about MAC's than i do about PC's, and that isn't much. i never heard of a .sit file. you guys ####ing with me?!

:)

anyways, i DL'ed stuffit 11 and when running it promptly got the 'IS NOT COMPATABLE WITH SYSTEM' error message. wonderful. so i deleted it and then tried to expand the same zip file from yesterday. it worked.

NOW we'll see, based on my luck with this stuff, if it works as this laptop is STUFFED with my girlfriend's work archives (soon to be dumped) and crashing like a drunk on rollerskates.

thanks for tips. it worked in the end. :)
